  3. Can't find a download. I'd say spotify but they have a "clean" version up. The fuck is that all about? Is this a fucking joke? They've been around since 198-fucking-8. The fuck!

  4. Sooooo I've been wanting to make furniture and incorporate vinyl into the design for a long time but I finally got around to it and this is the first result: It's a 20" x 20" end table. I'll be working on a coffee table this week. Not sure what I'll be selling these for and they'd likely be a nightmare to ship, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Also, I'm running a 50% off promo for the next week for all of my recycled vinyl record jewelry, housewares and iPhone cases! http://www.vlingvling.com HALFOFFSEPT at checkout for 50% off. This code will work for one week until next Saturday. Have a good weekend everyone!

was thinking that too. Would be cool to have a little area where you could write your state/country or something on it to see where it's been, Sort of like wheresgeorge.com

also, all shipping costs are shipping AND handling. it takes time to package and go to the post office, as well as cost of tape, paper to print invoices etc.

thats the shipping cost. the delivery confirmation is like 75 cents more. plus i have to drive to the post office, wait inline etc. The avergae package to ship one record costs me about 4 bucks. Is making a dollar on the entire process wrong? I dont think so at all

    Reusing Mailers

do people really expect the person who sells 2 or 3 records on ebay or other avenues once a year if that to buy brand new mailers? where can you even buy brand new mailers in under 10 count? if you're selling off your entire collection of hundreds or thousands of records then yes, you probably should buy new mailers unless you somehow have the space at your home to save that many mailers. now if i got a record from a distro or label in a used mailer then i might be upset. at this point every distro or label (no matter the size) that carries records should have the proper, brand new, mailing supplies for records on hand at all times.

  12. i'll let you go ahead and grab mine, birdy ol' boy. i'm in no hurry. still can't find any info about the release online yet. i want to know what songs are on it. if anyone on here gets one soon and wants to rip it for the rest of us, i'm sure no one will complain.

  20. "Well, I been growing more and more frustrated with the button sticking and went on YouTube to check for possible fixes. I found one that was spoken in a foreign language, and saw as the poster put a drop of liquid on the home button and pressed it numerous times. He did this twice. I assumed it was rubbing alcohol, so I grabbed my bottle of rubbing alcohol, shut off the iPhone, and added a drop to the button. Pressed it about 30 times, added another drop, pressed it again, wiped the phone down and booted up the phone. I tried using the home button in various ways and it worked perfectly!!!!" This worked for me. Lots of fixes on YouTube if you haven't tried fixing the button. Also, if you plan in buying this you can probably fix it!

  21. Now bands and labels are trying to cash in on the recent increase in demand for vinyl by only offering the rarest variants in bundles. They'll continue to do this, because vinyl collectors are willing to throw down the extra coin for it.

  23. No doubt! I was going to hold out ordering that red from KRM until I had my copies from DW on hand. I'm sure that by then we all would have seen there was a red in our orders and started asking and harassing Jake and Tre about it. But now that is null...being that Jake cleared it up. Hurrah!

  25. Well like I posed the question to Kyle, what should they be doing? They can't really create customers. Anyone who doesn't have a smartphone by now is probably in that "I just want a phone that dials numbers and is simple" category (ie, 40s and up). They have to try and get them from their competitors. Whether they have a superior product or not, they have to try and convince people that they do. Giving up isn't an option for a publicly traded company (at least until it's time to declare bankruptcy).

  29. Definitely agree with the above post. Also, can we limit to 100 items or so per page? Having everything scrolled on one page makes it difficult to browse. Also, how about we click on a release and it shows us who else has it? Or a database that introduces other users who have similar collections?

  30. Why are folks so opposed to represses? If there is demand then keep it in print. These are all great labels and I hope they sell a ton of these.

  32. don't know if this has been mentioned already, but i'd suggest putting the LPs and 2xLPs in the same group and just have them differentiate in the description. it's annoying to not have them together

  33. Dude, they could do a die-cut tribal tattoo shaped special edition. Even have sweet temporary tribal tats as a limited bonus. 1999, bitch!

  34. Reminiscing about all my orders over the last year, been a good ride with IVWT. These last orders with the discount sure were tits, had that shit so quick too. I love that he took the extra time to send LPs outside of jackets, multiple ones at that. I can't even get eBay or Discogs sellers to do it for one stinkin' record.

  38. I'm going by what I've heard from people who've been collecting records longer than you've been alive. Maybe MFSL aren't the best, maybe the blue box is the best, but it's utterly ridiculous to say that MFSL are the worst. They're one of the pioneeres that took the original masters that were sourced to reproduce an audiophile record.

  39. Honestly, I've been looking for a record to teach my 2-year old how to properly place a needle and pick it up. He's been asking to do it. I just found his LP-Training-Wheels. Folks can consider this record /1499 now.

  41. "It's like being around an unfamiliar language long enough that it eventually begins to make sense." This was a great analogy. This is exactly how I feel about Converge. It took me a while for the music to make sense to me, though I always knew that someday it would. I kept on trying and finally understood. Now, I can't wait for this new album and to see Converge in October.

i understand adding a few extra bucks for the records, but we didn't ask you to go to the show. so i don't think anyone should pay for your ticket. either way, i really don't care what you charge thats up to you. just my 2 cents. i know some people will pay that no problem
