How is that not a reasonable answer? It's a perfect comparison. Yes, 99% of the time the label owns the rights to the record and has complete control over it. That doesn't make it right. In my experience, the point of reissues is to have music you love, from a band you love, on a format you love. If you really love the band and the album, wouldn't you want to have some contact with the band instead of just going behind their back and doing it? It is their art regardless of who "owns" it and I would reckon most artists would like to have some input on how their art is represented. The only reason you'd not try and get in touch with the band is because you simply don't care and are just reissuing the album because you know it'll sell copies, which is exactly what SRC is doing. So yes, it is fucking shady. It's essentially an authorized bootleg. It's amazing that it's such a non issue for most of you guys.

Ha, I remember calling them like 3x a day for a couple weeks until someone finally answered. The guy assured me it would be coming out and said that Harvey was upset about the artwork and that was the reason for the delay. Thankfully I didn't believe him and had him refund my paypal account while i was on the phone.

I got this today and it's a cool package and a great record. 2xLP gatefold on black. Definitely not 180gram. But the inside sleeves aren't the cheap white paper, they are nice and solid pure black. Pick this up at a local shop - it's good.

They wouldn't because it is marketing. Same reason they haven't announced that all flesh and blood vars are gone. Say they are gone people will wait two weeks or not order at all. Say "see what you get!" and people will buy for the next few days hoping they are in the first 300

bumping this thread because everything is coming up Millhouse. I accepted my admission into the MEd program at Loyola for school counseling. My film is 3 days away from being done with production, and I do not have a job to prevent me from doing academic research while I am in the graduate program. I'm kind of stoked on life right now.

Be honest, how often do you listen to the Drive soundtrack past side A? I mean, admittedly, I have, but the minimal sub-bass ambient sounds are nice for background pulse on a chill night but you can't really get absorbed listening to side BCD of Drive. Still, of the Mondo I own thus far, 1. Poltergeist 2. Maniac 3. Drive would be my rankings. Regardless, you're right we've got Waxwork and DW as backups for horror stuff. But, I'm more intrigued by how important a score is to a horror movie, and how that plays out as a standalone. I prefer Carpenter or other horror-staple scores to OSTs by guys like Zimmer where it's all dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun BRAAAAAAAHM. But maybe that's just me.

I love how people want to cancel their pledges now to save a few bucks. Really?? I thought you were a fan of this band and that's why you supported it?? You pledged to receive a record AND also help get the record recorded. So obviously they need a few bucks for that too. And how can a band like this sour you by doing a pledge campaign? They have been in this scene for over 15 years and seen it change so many times. From scream-o, to neon, to crunk crap, to everyone of their NJ piers disbanding. They stuck it out and I think its safe to say they arent rolling in the dough. Its fantastic to see that they killed their goal in a week and nearly doubled it by time ends. Do you know how good that must make them feel? To know people still care about them after major label disappointments, constant line-up changed, musical changes, ect. I bet they went into that studio so god damn pumped that they made one of their best records of their career. I pledged for the new album on vinyl and cant wait to get it.

Happiness is one of my all time favorite movies. Went and Saw both You're Next and The World's End this weekend. Was really surprised by the former and disappointed by the latter. WE wasn't BAD it just wasn't very funny. Very well made and I still love Edgar Wright's style, it just didn't do much for me. I'd heard You're Next was a lot better than it looked but I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. It's like this year's Cabin in the Woods (subtly so though). Really funny as well. Highly recommended to anyone who like horror movies.

Not all tip-on jackets are that thick though I mean, it'd be a mixed bag. Higher shipping+ initial costs, but better quality packages if they were all that thick. I wouldn't complain, but it would get expensive.

Call your bank and dispute the transaction with them instead of through Paypal. Most banks give 60 days from date of transaction to dispute and even after 60 days may still initiate a fraud claim. For an amount that small it's cheaper for the bank to credit you their customer than pay an employee to investigate. It's likely you can still get your funds back that way. Also, if you didn't buy Blink records this wouldn't happen.

It kinda feels like Dustin is pulling a reverse David Bazan here. Rather than offending all his Christian fans (like Bazan eventually did), Dustin is offending all of his non-Christian fans by being so vocal about his faith. Funny thing is, when Bazan flat out bashed God, Jesus, and everything revolving around Christianity, I still loved the art he created. In fact, I love it that much more because he's so open and real about what's going on inside of him. I don't agree with Bazan's findings on Christianity, but I will still support him because he's an incredible artist. It boggles my mind that people wouldn't do the same with Dustin.
