I've never understood what age has anything to do with anything when it comes to liking music. I'm 28 and the majority of what I listen to is pop punk. I don't give a shit if the majority of a bands fan base are 16 year olds. Its hard to explain but if I like something, I like it and nothing else comes into play to base my decision off it. I don't know, I just feel like a lot of people on here wont like something based solely on factors that shouldn't even matter. If you like something, don't be ashamed of it

Also, I've gotta brag for a minute.... This weekend we finally built my keezer, which I am BEYOND STOKED for. A good friend has been working with wood since he was a little kid, so we busted this thing out in no time. The collar is made out of African Zebrawood, and with a 10lb co2 tank, it can hold 5 corny kegs. Now all i need to do is add some chalkboard paint to the top for the on-tap list. Oh yeah, and get my butt into gear and brew some more. We floated both full kegs I had this weekend while building it =D

Let's start with an overview: So much to list. A Ralphie Doll that my kid keeps asking to open - now that the photo is posted I'm going to leave it next to his bed as a surprise. I'll tell him that it's from you Scott. - A mystery 7", The Menzingers/Souls split (planned to order it), a Heks Orkerest 7", Vultures United - Stickers - I think Scott has a poop fetish...or he thinks I do. I do love a good poop joke. - LPs: A Wilhelm Scream (cool), The Back Up Plan (I'll give it a listen soon), Luther, and Horace Pinker (Thank God the dream of the 90s Pop Punker is still alive) Then there were a bunch of NickelBack postcards advertising Best of Volume 3...no, there is no hope for this world: Snicket Fat Kat was not too excited, he has excellent taste. Then there was a mix cd with lot's of stuff I'm happy to give a listen: He put Diamond Youth at #1 - overrated. He also included a Jimmy Eat World song - he must have missed the dozen times I've told the story about how a girl I loved dumped me for their lame lead singer back in the 90's. (Thank God the nightmares of the 90s still fade - plus the sweet revenge that comes when she got dumped and wanted to get back together to which I gave a stone cold no) Seriously though, the effort is appreciated. Then there was this awesomeness: My wife was like, "Why do you do Secret Santa with strangers?" as I opened the neat mystery 7". Then I showed her the note and explained all the cool stuff in the box and she had to agree that the folks from VC know me musically as well as anyone. Seriously, this package was so good that I feel like a terrible Santa. Thanks Scott.

Due to lack of stories I guess I'll bring this oldie but goodie out. It was my sophomore year in college, I was in a fraternity, and I took this girl to a date party. For those of you who don't know what a "date party" is... it's basically an unsupervised high school dance where everyone is really drunk and makes bad decisions. Anyway, I had been talking to this girl on and off for about a month. I wasn't really that into her. I was more into her best friend but her best friend was dating a fraternity brother of mine so I decided to go for her friend instead. She was odd and quirky and a little out there for me. We went to the date party and of course got really drunk blah blah blah ended back up in my room. This was our first time to fool around so I was excited but nervous (was on a bit of a drought). She starts with a little foreplay jerking me off while we're making out. I take her shirt off and start playing around there and then she says "Do you want me to give you a blow job?". Of course I oblige and 2 second after she starts she then stops and asks me "Are you close yet?". Seriously? You just started. No, I'm not close. I actually started mapping out a nonprofit to help get better mental health care systems in schools an colleges, because therapy is something I've always needed but never had due to financial struggle. If we had better systems in school to support mental health, it would be a way to help kids but relieve parents of financial duty. However, I underestimated how much money goes into just starting a non-profit and until I magically have a few thousand dollars to throw around, I can't really make it happen. It's a bummer.

Absolutely. I was really happy with the packaging when i opened it. Better than most. However when i put it on I noticed the record sounded weird. His vocals are very noticeable however everything else does seem quiet. On the cd the guitars growl and the bass is....well there an everything seems mixed well. With this pressing everything else seems subdued and choked. Its not the worst ive heard but im definitely not pleased with it especially for what I paid for it. Whoever mastered and also the person who cut it fucked up for allowing it to sound like this. Im so sick im spending money on new pressings only to be disappointed. Cant imagine how bad the first one is lol. I might hit up rise records and see what they have to say.

I took a pic of my Fireworks collection a month or two ago, too. I never got around to buying the Euro and gold Gospels, or the grey Bonfires. I had a bunch of opportunities to get that AIHTO tour press but passed them up every time for whatever reason. I will most likely buy the first pressing colors for the new album, but that will be it.
