  1. For being a macho misogynstic asshole, you have the music taste of a 14 year old girl. Blink 182 and Brand New? Come on. It has baffled me for a while.

  12. After 28 years of life, I've come up with this quip to state when necessary. Unless someone else already said it that is more famous. But I have never heard it, and it is often my "I think I'm breaking up with my blah blah blah" or "Things aren't looking good with my blah blah blah." : Every girl is crazy. It's all about finding the kind of crazy you can put up with for the rest of your life. My wife is bat-shit crazy (she knows that I know this). However, her random crying gets cancelled out by the fact that she takes on the dishes and laundry, and if she REALLY wants that vintage lamp at the Antique Barn, then I really don't feel obligated to buy it for her, but I will anyway because she doesn't ask for much (except for milk... she BURNS through a gallon in a day and a half I swear). Plus she puts up with a ton of records and books always showing up in the mail. I was in a relationship for three years like the one you have described. She added nothing to the relationship and was the first to complain. Oh, and she didn't work, didn't have a license, didn't graduate high school, and was basically worthless (except for smoking the weed I bought and drinking the liquor I bought). Be glad you got out when you did. Find a kind of crazy that works with what you have going on.

Zero experience with this stuff, I think the only one I've ever seen was in Empire Records, which is kinda old by now. Seems like it'd be fun to see what you could make

  25. I'm upgrading from my shitty crosley. I've completely stopped using it after I found out how shitty it is. I want the pro-ject debut carbon but I'm moving to England at the end of next year (currently live in the US). I know our outlets are different and I don't want to use a converter. Does anyone know if the adapter is switchable? I know we operate on different volt levels and I don't want to fry anything. Or will I just need to buy a completely new turntable once I move? I would hate to spend $400 for a turntable I wont be able to use in the future. thanks!

Look and read through what all you get in this collection. Photos available upon request. I'd like to avoid paying eBay fees and would love for this collection to go into the hands of another Boingo fan. I live in a smoke-free home. I will ship to the lower 48 U.S. ONLY. 28. I literally dread going to my post office because they have the same guy at the counter they've had since I moved here in '98. Here's the reviews of our post office on google+: "They sometimes have a guy that works there on Saturday mornings, who looks like he ate horse tranquilizers, rat poison, Dramamine and Benadryl for breakfast; nothing compared to the new lady. Now they have this new nervous-superhyped women nutjob who works the counters in the morning sometimes." "Guy that works the counter ALWAYS looks like he needs a shower, shave and a haircut. Not to mention don't dare ask for help because that will only slow him down further. Paint dries faster than this guy moves!! Disliked: Painfully slow!!" "Poor service!!! This is the worst postal office! The EMPLOYEE that is always there is unrespectful, rude, it looks that he doesn't like his job." "The world's slowest post office. Seriously. It's painful to go there. Is that guy always hung over or does he just look that way?"

  38. If this pressing included the bonus Live LP, on colored vinyl, the collectors would be a little more excited at the posted price as the live LP is OOP on white vinyl. No other version of Bleach is numbered and currently no other color versions are in print. There was a UK pressing a few years ago (980..) in a few versions (black + white 11-track, limited 13 track and clear) that sold moderately well, now oop, and not too high on collectors list as the vinyl was very thin and, to me, felt cheap. As someone who owns this LP on every official color of SP pressings (except the unofficial iceburg version) I will not go out of my way to pick this up at $28. But if I got to Newbury, get 20% off, and can walk out without paying shipping, then yes I will purchase. To much other good music available. My buddy owns a consignment shop, and I stock new LP's in the "record room", but he gets calls every week from new collectors looking for "original" 90's vinyl for cheap. He always laughs, while stating "who doesn't", and tells the caller there are tons of boxes for digging. The record shows I do always bring a few of the same folks. A couple of weeks ago everyone ignored my Mudhoney LP's and the only OG 90's LP that went involved a trade with Andy from The Saddest Landscape who, surprise surprise, also collects OG 90's vinyl. But I did "dig" an OG black vinyl Bleach (EX, $25), OG US Nevermind (VG, $35) and a Replacements, Sorry Ma..(VG, $30) plus had my best selling day in 4 years. My point. This pressing will sell to people who want a color or numbered version of Bleach. But, if buying to flip, some collectors may be disappointed that the value and will not skyrocket overnight.

  40. forgive the sarcasm above, zebrat... but it's kind of hard to give advice without a description or catalog #. The "Original Cast Soundtrack" on Buena Vista Records (BV 4026) in mono is pretty common. The stereophonic version (different cover) is a little more rare. The Disneyland Records "Mary Poppins" (ST 3922), with storybook, isn't the original cast (while Marni Nixon could sing, she was never as cute as Julie Andrews) is probably the next-to-top value. There's a picture disc which if it's anything like the other pic discs in the Disney series, they didn't hold up well to time and the sound quality is awful. Not worth much, unless its just for the visual. And there's a "10 Songs from Mary Poppins" which is a down-sized version of ST 3922, but re-packaged as DQ -1256. Not as high value as the others. Find out which one you've got. Check out a Goldmine Record Album Price Guide at your local library which will list "going" prices for Still-Sealed records. Or go to buyvinyls.com to see what it's going for on ebay today. Hope this helps. Now let the kids resume their game.

    MAN ADVICE

Today I got an email from an ex girlfriend, who I haven't talked to in four or five years. She said she was feeling "sentimental," and asked how I was, said that she feels like her life is really different now yet it's also the same. She asked if I ever felt that way and ended it with "just a friendly note from me to you." My response: "You aren't Lena Dunham and this isn't an episode of Girls. Don't email me anymore." Felt awesome, but I'm also an asshole.

How much warp is too much?

IF it really bothers you. Find a window that gets a lot of sun. Put the record inside it's inner sleeve, and put. Few heavy books on it, in the sunlight for a day. It won't take it away completely, but it'll help
