You guys keep saying "what if it was this and what if it was that." It wasn't. Not cool. We are in unanimous agreement on that. You can't blow up the small stuff because then you lose site if what is really awful. This is dinky shit. Not an indictment of a rape culture brewing in the indie music scenes.

Had an extremely disappointing race performance yesterday. Finished a little over 24 minutes (5k). Started out with a 6:30 mile but it was 90 degrees and almost completely up and down hills and I was DONE for the last mile and half. Luckily I get to do it all over again in eight days. Gonna try to slow the start and not get so worked up. I feel like I can't get worse, as this was was worse 5k time I've had in over a year. Stay posi.

There are guys who think it is ok to just go around touching women for whatever reason without consent. It's not ok and people need to know it's not ok. While getting up on stage and kissing someone isn't rape, it IS part of "rape culture" and saying it's not a big deal just reinforces that type of behavior. Besides, there being "bigger" problems doesn't make "smaller" problems irrelevant.

violating someones personal space and forcing yourself on them in anyway makes someone a shitty person. ignoring or encouraging that type of behavior is almost as bad. people who act like that deserve to be called out and put on blast for their actions

But TDAG and Daisy are their best albums. I know it's a bummer when bands don't play older songs, but they can play whatever they want. They don't owe anyone anything besides a performance. There are a lot of bands I just don't bother going to see if they play around here because I know they won't play what I want to hear. Of course, I saw Taking Back Sunday and they played ONE song I recognized, so I skipped them the next time they played and it turned out they played Tell All Your Friends in full.

Competed in a Tri today. I opted for the short course since I've raced four times in five weeks in some capacity. I finished 12th overall (140 entries) and 3rd in my age group. Besides a solid bike split I put up a 5k time of 22 minutes 7:06/mi - by FAR my best tri 5k time. Proof yo:

What that guy did at the Tigers Jaw show was awful, and shouldn't be allowed to happen anywhere, and I'm sure everybody on here would agree with me, it's a problem. I don't think it's a massive cultural epidemic, some people are just inconsiderate assholes. Unfortunately people are assholes and will always be assholes no matter how much action we take. No amount of complaining on the internet will stop that. As long as the girls are okay and people don't think what that guy did is cool, we're golden. Now to Mixtapes: I'm pretty sure it would take anybody with half a brain to know that he was kidding. Sure the joke was offensive, and distasteful, but most likely a joke none the less, and people make jokes about things like race and murder and violence all the time and no one takes up arms like this. And it it really worth trashing this guys reputation as a musician over a single sentence? Do I think it was funny? No. Do I think it was okay? Definitely not. Do I think it's as big of an issue as people are making it out to be? No. Can we calm down?

I never saw orang sell out but I'm sure it's close., and pink lasted a while but was lot pressed. and the smoke only recently sold out. they haven't sold out in 48 hours like some things do, but are still selling well enough to keep pressing.

ill open a discussion here. there have been a lot of represses for everything, but warning especially. I love the album and collect variants so I have been all over it and happy, especially because theyre not overpriced (at least the ones that I haven't had to order overseas). my brother and some other people keep saying there are too many. I like adeline, and they are doing good at not just looking at the dollar signs, but HOW should the release it? there are people who don't own albums and just want one so a repress gives them an opportunity, and there are variant collectors who want multiple colors, and then there are people who just want one variant but will appreciate options. I would rather have lower pressings of multiple colors than one color with 10K+ pressed. and adeline thought of that. and for older presses, I enjoy the hunt, I didn't start my variant collecting till recently and there is fun in the search for a record you want. so, what do you think is too many pressings? where do you think there is a line to stop?

I like where this is going.I would also include a woman playing something on her phone, and when it starts, the volume is way too loud! She struggles to find a way to turn it down and just can't figure it out! So, she just pulls the power cord in frustration. And, to add insult to injury, the man fumbling with the cables? He also hurts his back standing up straight after spending "hours" bent over trying to plug in the large bundles of cables in his hands.

How I roll lately. Brown marshall cab isn't mine, but using it until I can get my hands on a straight cab.

Finished season 2 of Friday Night Lights earlier. I still like it but I think season 1 was much better. I'm curious as to where the show goes after the main characters graduate. Two things that stick out at me so far watching this show. 1. Crucifictorious melts faces 2. I would do unspeakable things to Mrs. Taylor. MILF
