**RECAP ON INSERT - OPTION FOR 11X17 FOLDED OR 11X11 SQUARE** Alright, so I had some thoughts on a simple insert that I could provide the files for, and you could print out anywhere you like for less than $2. I was thinking something that is a standard 11x17" GLOSS PAPER that you would fold in half. File would be printed in black and white to stay on theme, and keep costs down. One side has all of the lyrics, and the very important dedication to Timothy Jordan II that is SOMEHOW LEFT OUT of this. (unreal) The other side is a take on the tunnel pic inside the original liner notes, and used for the album art from "The EP" - this is not the same tunnel, but just an idea inspired from that. It then features the line from the end of Timothy - "Take me back to where I was before I was born." Since anywhere you take this to for printing would not be able to do full bleed, I kept everything with a white background, and textures that do not bleed over the edge. Nothing would have to be fit to page, nothing would have awkward print lines around the edges, and as I said before, cheap, easy, and sharp. General look at both sides: This would be the lyric side: Here's closer detail: Here's the tunnel side: and closer detail: NOTHING is used from the original layout, nothing is stolen from the original artist. Since I would just be providing the print files needed to print this, there would be no money exchanging hands, so I can't imagine this being anything that would get anyone in trouble, just something to enhance a product alot of us care about so much. Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions / recommendations / better ideas! **************************************************** People were asking for a square option - this is the same idea as the top one, except at the shop you would just ask for a double sided black and white on gloss, and then have them cut it to an 11x11 square - this would be placed in a template with cut lines so it came out looking sharp if you went with this option! I agree that $55 is nice but the ~$15 shipping brings Uncharted to ~$70. Fallout was $85 shipped and also has a 7''. It also has the triple gatefold and SPECIAL book. Hard to draw a direct comparison since not many details were given for Uncharted, but I don't feel like Fallout was outrageous considering it is Fallout.

I remember when this record came out my friend stole it from Target because we were broke college kids and at that time didn't care about being upstanding citizens. Everyone kept talking up the album, so he figured it was a must have. I remember him putting it in the cd player of his car in the parking lot and we just laughed when the first track started playing. So shitty. He wanted to take it back but couldn't because it was stolen. Fast forward 13 years and now that dude from Friends is selling it on vinyl for $40. Never thought I'd see the day.

I'd avoid the Elemental, because iirc, the counter weight and anti-skate are not adjustable. This limits you in any cartridge you'd want to use. It is also really light, which can be good and bad. I'd probably go with the Orbit, since there are more upgrade options for the down the line if you want to do so.

I can't compare to the other variants, but I enjoy the color in color quite a lot. It's not dead quiet, but quiet enough to be listened to via headphones. I'm very happy with it and would totally recommend picking it up. Also, those discogs pics are mine, so thanks!

Order away my friend. I'm not stopping you. I didn't call them evil....I just know how they operate, I don't care for it, so I don't support it. My mind works differently than yours, clearly. I don't make much money at all, so I choose where my money goes very very deliberately.

That's a lot of negs for such little criticism. I'm not trying to shit on anyone's parade here. My point is that in an online community that's dedicated to collecting/listening to vinyl I feel that a huge factor to all the dedication we put into it is supporting record stores and independent labels, because they are the ones that keep our hobby alive. To me Amazon is not an option, because they not only take any part whatsoever in keeping this format alive, their grand scheme is harmful to the labels and stores we all care about deeply (see birdwell's post above). So instead of saving a couple bucks for each record I buy, I rather buy one or two records less each month knowing that my cash actually goes to those who put their heart into bringing that product to my door/store. I do understand of course that horrendous shipping costs can be a huge factor and Amazon know their shit when it comes to that. I'm not saying that everyone's supposed to do it like that, but I do think it's an appropriate enough topic to be discussed on a vinyl-dedicated online forum. So, sorry if anyone felt too offended by what I said, didn't mean to nag on people.

i have a few GZ records that sounds good. But they're rare. They use direct metal mastering and accept 128 Kbps mp3s. I think most of them sound bad because people don't know how to master for DMM correctly and they usually have sibilance issues. Also, the sandy haze records host their own issues.
