  2. Nothing is as good as Battery, but much can be said for For Whom The Bell Tolls... cmon, this is the best material they've put out within the past 15 years. They'll never write another Lignting or Puppets, so what are you expecting?

  4. I'm 22. The most nostalgic albums for me are the ones I listened to all the time when I was 14. The word has nothing to do with a defined time frame. Pretty sure the exact definition is "a sentimental longing for the past". (No i don't memorize definitions)

  5. yes? and I didn't see anything about it? and i just made an account like an hour ago so no i didn't know there was a thread dedicated to ioh and honestly if the answer to my question was so obvious you could've just said yes or no instead of this lmao

  6. "We're so fucked, shit out of luck" pretty much is the equivalent of "My lifestyle determines my deathstyle". Laughable lyrics from someone in their 50's Just because Metallica writes a fast song everyone jumps back about how great they are. That song musically is boring and sounds like some 3rd tier thrash band. But you know, that is just my opinion

    The SYNTHWAVE Thread

Tommy '86 - Transhumanism will go up for PO early September via Blood Music. No mention of vinyl yet, but I'm guessing it's a given.

  11. I personally look at my fingers and wrists as an investment just like my sweet vinylz so I go with an electric knife to keep the mileage down on my piggy's https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-CEK-40-Electric-Knife/dp/B00004WKI3 I sometimes enjoy "letting the tits out" of my records and just carve the whole front cover away to show off my really nice "splatter investments" but I can of course still flip it around and see the tracklisting and such which I think looks just ravishing next to my crosley and light ropes! This is more of an advanced move though so I would suggest watching a few youtube tutorials first.

  12. If you never open the record...does your variant really exist? It's both the black vinyl press and limited pink splatter at exactly the same time. Schrödinger's Vinyl.

  21. I don't know if Waxwork will repress this or not, but it's at a good price on Discogs. Basically 3 sides of this is the Trick r Treat soundtrack, which is great Halloween music. But the 4th side is just spooky Halloween sounds, which is extra cool. https://www.discogs.com/Douglas-Pipes-Trick-R-Treat-/release/6247914 Edit: I asked Waxwork if they're repressing Trick r Treat for this Halloween and they said no, but it would be soon.

  22. Agreed that the newest Maiden album is great. Ices Earth is still putting out some solid stuff too however many years later.

  23. Decent track but I haven't been interested in Metallica since the late 90's, which was right around the time I discovered underground metal. I'm glad they're making some of their older fans happy, hopefully this is a good album and they retire on a positive note.

  24. As far as current goes, I can name a few off the top of my head. I'm sure I'm missing a bunch. Black Sabbath (though, this is their "last" tour. Will be seeing them Thursday) Rush Iron Maiden Rolling Stones U2 Aerosmith ZZ Top I guess Metallica would fall into this category as well. People are still buying it, so I guess it's "great music" to some people. If you mean 33 years total and not currently making music then there's LOTS more. You need to broaden your music horizon.

  25. Apparently they layered in bits of Harmlessness and that Needle Drop guy reviewing one of their records. The rerecorded versions sound great but I really miss Tom's vocals.

  28. I'm on youtube clicking through "my record collection" videos, and I have yet to see one where they don't have a crosley. this is the funniest shit ever. they also usually have a comment that says "yeah, i would recommend a crosley, mine is great!"

  38. Arming and invading other countries and suffering decades of unintended consequences has bipartisan support. It's not unique to any administration or political party. Just buy some stock in defense contractors. That's pretty much the best you can do at this point.

  39. you don't start bombing the shit out of civilians in a foreign country because you think their elected leader is a meanie. that's maniacal. the billions we are spending in the middle east to fuck shit up is insane. the first thing we can do for the people in syria is stop bombing them and arming rebel terrorist groups. gtfo with your sexist bullshit.
