I watch Blair Witch Project every year as part of my October horror movie a day marathon. It fucked me up as a kid. I think I was 11 when I saw it and I've never been that scared in a theater and never will be again. My girlfriend and I took off the 16th to go see the new one (we legit requested off months and months ago when the first trailer for The Woods dropped) and I hope I can get high enough that I get scared. Being high in a movie theater is the closest I can get to attaining that childhood sense of "wonder" while at the movies. We've unofficially started our horror marathon for the year. Working on a set schedule for October, I'll post it when it's finished. We managed 40 movies last year. Aiming for 60 this year since we added September. I don't collect blurays anymore outside of Criterions, but Best Buy is where it's at. You have to actually go in and browse to find the random good deals though. Grabbed Devils Rejects for seriously $2. Got a 4 movie Coen Bros box set for $20 and Evil Dead 2/Silence of the Lambs/Pulp Fiction/A Clockwork Orange/The Shinning/Dark City/Memento/From Dusk to Dawn/Terminator 2 for $5 each

They could have been doing that for years with this and a number of other releases, so I don't see that happening.

The acting is on point. Especially for such no name actors who never really did much else, you can definitely feel their frustration when they're lost. Same goes for the fake documentary, it feels very legit. I've never even heard of Buybacks? I live just outside Boston, so we have tons of Best Buys/Targets/Newbury Comics. Newbury has cool shit, but they're so overpriced. Amazon is always cheaper new, than they charge for used stuff. But sometimes you can find some gems in the used section. Like a year ago I found Ichi the Killer on bluray for like $5 bucks. That's an OOP $50 dollar bluray!

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean "tell me what to think" which is what a lot of people think I mean by this/if I try to talk to them. Just because we talk doesn't mean we have to agree, but I do have no problem changing my opinion or views if presented with sufficient evidence. Don't know why it isn't universally like that, we'd make a lot more fucking progress that way.

So I guess I'm gonna stray from the pack big time with this assessment, but here goes: This is not a good album. As someone who places It's Not Me, It's You! within my top 10 albums of all time, this was such a huge let down. There are only two listenable songs for me on the entire LP: "Monolith" and "Along the Edges". The last two minutes of "Deserter" is one of the worst sections in a post-anything song I think I've ever forced myself to listen to. "Off the Beaten Path" was also painful. Honestly if someone had put this album on without telling me what it was, there's not a question in my mind I would have immediately went to Collapse Under the Empire or something similar. This is so far removed from the pg.lost of "Jonathan" and "I Am A Destroyer" that I might try my best to purge this album from my memory so as not to taint the great image I have in my head of this band. I try my best not to loudly acclaim or rail against certain albums because, of course, it's all opinion, but I had to chime in with my thoughts on this one. Sorry guys. Off to listen through the new Lost in Kiev again...

Not a new guitar but added a Lollar J-Street bridge pickup to my Japanese Tele and it's amazing. So, there was an issue with the bridge huckbucker on the Gibson 2014 SGJ I purchased, so I returned it to Guitar Center I decided to just do it right and purchased a Gibson 2016 Standard T instead... I am in love.

I just love that Owens is HHH's new chosen one, it's such a perfect fit - not to mention that he deserves the spotlight. Adding Jericho to the mix would be pretty cool, too. And I can see Rollins slowly turning face in the process and after Ambrose got his revenge before the draft, there's no point in keeping him heel (especially since everyone wants to cheer him). I think they'll do an underdog story with Zayn, hopefully against Reigns if he wins the US Title. Also, the CWC just keeps blowing my mind. Two absolutely fantastic matches. I don't think Kendrick has ever been better (not to mention him doing Neckbreakers on the ring post and a fucking Burning Hammer).

Oh I know. My point really is that wouldn't you rather spend that $10 on something you actually want to listen to? Or a decent cheeseburger? Or give it to charity? Got to be a ton of better uses for that ten spot.
