  3. Going to edit this topic so it can be a hub for all things SURVIVE, since that's essentially what it has evolved into. Go VC! Proud of your damn good taste in musak.

  7. Corporate and Personal taxes are essentially at their lowest rates since 1941. Income disparity is at an all time high. The middle class is quantifiably shrinking. But yes, more tax cuts are the absolute answer. It's the conservative robot response to everything. Since 1987 the rates have been relatively in line - happy with how this period which have seen the lowest American Tax rates have treated the middle class over the last 30 years? Or were you happier in the 50s/60s when "America Was Great" and taxes were nearly double and in some tax brackets, admittedly absurd, at 90%? I actually assumed "make America Great Again" was about going back to 1955 tax rates and rebuilding the Nation's infrastructure but it's likely more about the "Good Old Days that man would be carried out on a stretcher". Can't imagine what that might mean. It hasn't trickled down. It will never trickle down. The wealth will accumulate with the stockholders, not the stakeholders when left to the purest form of the market. That might be cool for a few people out there but with a shrinking consumer class everyone should be panicked. And in support of growing the American Economy I plan to hit a local theater to see Michael's new movie. Might inject some cash into the world by even buying some popcorn.

  9. Yeah, The Fountain might be tough. I think I messaged everyone back that sent me a DM. I prob am gonna need everyone to message me their phone numbers. I will try to get everyone a copy of The Fountain, but I don't know how many they will let me get. I messaged Mo to see if there's a limit. Last year there was none. I will try my hardest to grab everything for everyone, so be patient. Also, please no new people message me. I prob already have like 10 people on this list including two good friends who get hooked up before everyone else. I'm also going in order of who messaged me first! Thanks, guys.

  21. I love that this band is getting so much attention and they deserve the publicity (and income) from all these reissues and endless variants, but I just can't help to think in the back of my mind S U R V I V E is going to end up being the Herb Alpert/Barry Manilow for children born today, filling thrift store and second hand vinyl bins & yard sale cardboard boxes with the dozens of variants that were released in the Stranger Things Hype of '16.

Season of the sick, 24 deep, Loaded all need vinyl pressings. Wouldn't mind seeing his cousin C-Bo's early work: Gas Chamber, Tales from the Crypt, and Casket put on wax either. Sacramento had it on lock for a min.

  25. :| I didn't watch, but I saw everyone's reaction to Trump saying he might not concede if he loses saying it's rigged, etc, etc. Everyone seems to this this will cause democracy to crumble... if your society and government is so fragile that you can't question it you guys have it worse off than I realized. It's not impossible for a system like this to be rigged, in fact it wouldn't actually be all that hard to apply the right pressures in such a way to push the outcome in the direction you want it. I'm sure it happens all the time. His claims may be outrageous, but to say he can't claim them, or think it's going to cause some bizarre chain reaction resulting in anarchy is just stupid.

  26. Those appear to the be the promotional 12" flats they sent out to people who ordered Vital packages awhile back. The only 12" version of the Vital album cover...which may not be cool to you but since the Vital vinyl was 10", the album cover didn't match the rest of the previous album artwork in terms of size--making the artwork you're holding somewhat desirable to someone who really liked that album cover

  27. // Castles High, Marble Bright 1) Castles High, Marble Bright | 8:53 2) 127 North | 8:05 https://caspiantheband.bandcamp.com/album/castles-high-marble-bright "Castles High, Marble Bright” and "127 North" were conceived, written and recorded alongside the collection of songs that would become Dust and Disquiet, an album that we hoped spoke to the dialogue between a newly found, furrow browed melancholy and the fractured but unbroken sense of stubbornly epic, dramatically determined optimism that we've been trying to emulate with our music for 12 years. With the end of this album cycle vaguely coming into sight, "Castles High, Marble Bright” is now our North Star, our way home, and our celebration of the decision to fully embrace the above dialogue head on together and see what comes. On a bit of a different note, "127 North" is the sound of 6 guys playing in a room together on a Friday afternoon. In some ways the least ambitious thing we've ever committed to tape. Free from the grip of over arrangement, overdubs, click tracks, excessive chin stroking and the like, "127 North" is what a Caspian song sometimes sounds like in its infancy.

  29. Trump's monopoly on truth and justice has found the most interesting cross-section between white supremacists, old racist people, uneducated whites, rich sociopaths, passionate but misinformed subjugated groups, and frustrated, semi-manic vinyl collectors in their 20s.

  30. That's me. Yes, 2 variants, 1 retail, 1 merchnow. The tour press is an overpress of about 90 records (with slight colour defect, which actually turned out pretty sick) from this pressing. Hence, these overpress are being sold as tour presses, with screenprinted TIHTWS art on old album covers!

  32. Couldn't hurt. It could blow up and be the hottest commodity – I'm just a nerd for my fancy colors and packaging. Speaking of which, I'm surprised at the lack of shipping updates happening here. I hate being that guy, but my copy from Bull Moose went out this morning and I'm pretty happy about it.

  34. As of now only one pressing. If you've ordered from the label before you get the limited opaque, the overwhelming majority of them are clear red vinyl. Only the clear red will be at Fest and how many there will be is up in the air. Limited run of 500 total and there will be at least 80 at fest.

  35. We're going to need a solid count. He only has those 2, as mentioned, so if I can get CJ a number of who's in, Wout will ship them to the US store, and then like a dandelion losing its seeds to the wind as the seasons turn, our shipments will mail out from there. He's ordering the EU version of Pray For Sound's new one so our shipment will more than likely hitch a ride with that. There will be a discount, we can at least entertain the thought as nothing is in stone. If someone wants to ask in the EU group buy thread (ive got meetings from the minute i hit reply) I can at least get a count and email him before the weekend. Please keep in mind we'll have to wait until November (thats a no brainer). Please also outline a few points from this to let those that want in, to submit their name...again, this would be for a price point. Thanks. (hes also willing to send over anything else from the BEL dunk! store if there are other requests. that should save on shipping too)

  39. Same great quality of the Five Years set. Flat, clean, quiet vinyl that sounds superb IMO. Diamond Dog sounds a bit rough to my ears, but I'm a noob to that record and have found out since that it wasn't recorded well to begin with (it even says this in the book). Overall, I think the sound quality is on par with the Five Years box. I own the STS deluxe vinyl box and I think both versions of STS and Nassau discs sound pretty much exactly as they did in that release. Sleeves are a bit thin for my liking, but they're alright. Vinyl is in paper sleeves with poly inners. Honestly, I think anyone that picks this up would be thrilled with the sound quality on it. If anything, the only real let down is the overlap with having two David Live and STS albums here, and the fact that recall 2 is only 1 disc this go around. Other than that, it's fantastic.
