  1. Some poor soul is going to have to cancel hundreds of orders today. The Facebook post for the signed vinyl had 1,500 likes just 90 minutes after being posted last night. Or maybe they'll hire Kendrick Lamar's assistant to sign all of 'em.

  2. I saw them in a community center in Foxboro, MA in I think it must have been the winter of 2000, like february/march. It was mind-numbingly cold. I remember the heat in my friend's car barely worked and by the time we drove home after the show to our dorms in Lowell (1:15 away or so) I couldn't feel my feet anymore. It was freezing in the venue too; everyone wore their coats even when they got in the pit. There were four bands, the first of which was my friend's emocore band, then some other band, then Converge. The place had a stage but they set up on the floor and jesus fuck they pounded the hell out of that place. Everyone was very into getting in the pit or at least standing very close while they played because it helped you to stay warm, even though the place was way too big for the number of people there. Cave In was the last band/headliner and it may have been one of the very first times they played the stuff that was going to be on Jupiter which came out like 6 months later. There was a part where they were playing toy ray guns into their guitar pickups with delay pedals and stuff, in addition to just the general space-rock differentness of the Jupiter material. All the hardcore kids were PIIIIIIIISSED. They were like "what the fuck is this Pink Floyd bullshit??!?!?!!?" and I just laughed. I didn't know Converge or Cave In that much at the time (I had heard them both here and there) but for everything that happened it was one of the most memorable shows I've ever attended.

  3. I received a box from Amazon today. I opened it thinking it was the last of my xmas shopping, but there was curator stuff in there instead! I actually texted my mom and girlfriend asking if they ordered something through Prime and sent it in my name/address, but they didn't. I looked around for a packing slip, message, etc. and found this... This was sent by none other than...na na na na na na na na.. @batman!! Thanks so much Batman! I love The Menzingers and for some reason I didn't own this album. I'm actually going to see them this weekend in Scranton for their annual holiday show. @shadowkid33 are you going again this year?! I'm psyched to check out the Bukowski book. I have two of his books and this one is full of poems throughout his life. It's a big one too! Last, but not least.. awesome job on the Please Kill Me book! I have the older edition, but they just released this 20th anniversary edition which I really wanted, but didn't want to re-buy! Thanks again Batman and hope you have a great holiday this year!

  4. So yesterday I got a package.. All i can say is thank you.. I loved it.. I received several 7"s, and a CD. 2 band i never heard, but i enjoy local bands from other cities, so that's a plus. Will be listening to them shortly. I also received a ICARE for vaping. Which couldn't come at a better time. We ran out at work before i could buy one, so i'll be using mine shortly as soon as i can get a higher concentration of nicotine juices (today got some berry lemonade) I also received some chocolate brittle but that didn't last more than 10 minutes. how anyone can know i loved that stuff like crack is beyond me because i never listed it. It was literally opened and was eating it as i checked out the stuff inside the box. Stuff was so good. So from the bottom of my cold dead heart... THANK YOU!!!! Thanks Ianmonsta!!!! I really appreciate it!!!!

  5. I would gladly pay $50 for a record I love. The suckers are the ones who paid $100. quit trolling.

  6. Not only that, we shouldn't be allowed to play their records anymore.

  7. So any band that no longer plays live should stop selling their music? Seems super logical.

  8. SRC should do deluxe pressings for the early FOB records. I'd buy em all.

  12. So I got some real listens in and this record is absolutely incredible. I'm pretty much over the screamo period of my life other than a few staples but this record (despite only covering one side of a 12" record) is easily one of my favorites this year. I can't actually believe that I'm considering it one of the best with all these other 60+ minute LPs. The last two minutes of the last song... fuck me.

  13. That is definitely a 12", and I hope that it is the Blood Moon set. The clips I heard sounded killer!

  14. Can't speak on specifics since I don't have the persons info but I'm guessing that the 3 lps were ordered separately (black) and not the actual bundle. We're still waiting on the bundles to arrive in the warehouse so no one has gotten those yet. I think they'll be here late this week. Which means your records won't hit street date. Yipppeee, we get to field a bunch of emails asking "where's my shit you fucking assholes? " tis the season

  19. Not for a long time (unfortunately) but I've been getting more and more into it ever since seeing WrestleKingdom 9 and every now and then, I try to catch up with the classics. It's become my favorite product, even above Lucha Underground. This year's G1 was absolutely nuts, there was a new MOTY candidate almost every day. Btw what are you guys' favorite matches of the year? 2016 has been very good to pro wrestling as a whole, there's so much. I'll name ten and try to order them: Sami Zayn vs. Shinsuke Nakamura - Takeover Dallas Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens - Battleground AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura - WK10 Kenny Omega vs. Tetsuya Naito - G1 26 Katsuyori Shibata vs. Tomohiro Ishii - WK10 AJ Styles vs. John Cena - SummerSlam Kazuchika Okada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi - WK10 (G1 rematch was great too) Kota Ibushi vs. Cedric Alexander - CWC The Revival vs. DIY - Takeover Toronto Ricochet vs. Will Ospreay - BOSJ

  23. This has absolutely no logic whatsover. So the only music that people are allowed to buy is from active touring/writing bands? Fuck anyone who wants to buy a Beatles record. I don't understand how not wanting to create new music is equivalent to not wanting people to hear the music you created in the past.

  24. I clicked on this like "Ugh, the last album was so bad why am I even clicking this?" and then I saw "God City" and "Southern Lord" so now I'm cautiously optimistic.

  28. Awesome! Your wantlist was intimidating!! but you name-dropped The Menzingers in your post and I saw you had a few holes. That Bukowski book is one of my favorite collections so I was glad to find a paperback version. And I guessed on the other book that with the pub date being only a few months ago that you wouldn't have it. Didn't realize it was a re-issue, so I'm glad you actually wanted to have that. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!!

  29. Simple answer is because they are more rare. I generally only like test pressings when there are 10 or less and special artwork is a big plus. Other than that, they are boring with no printed labels and no artwork. My guess for this record is that there are 50+ "test pressings".
    1 point
  30. Before any record goes into mass production the pressing plant runs off a few copies normally on plain old black vinyl to send to the label and band to approve. These are "test presses" or "white label" copies not generally intended for commercial sale and normally incredibly limited. Some releases only have 5 tests made before they are approved for mass production these guys will no doubt have a much higher quantity but still this will undoubtedly prove to be the rarest form of the record even though it will be essentially the same. Most test presses normally don't include artwork as well which for this release is a real bonus.

Nice work! I see Pale pop up more often than Fear, my copy has a small hole punched in the cover but the marbled vinyl is nice. I was lucky to have the band sign all my albums at an Amoeba in store a few years ago. Do you have Glen Phillip's "Winter Pays for Summer"? It's a gorgeous record.

  38. I bought it for $50, got it the other day. Sounds great. But it's just a normal double Lp. Nothing special, not even any inserts. Glad I have it. I love that some suckers paid $100 for it. that is great.

Tar - Handsome... also have yet to listen to this, but always down and excited to check out new music Glassjaw - Worship and Tribute. only got to listen to one side so far, and i'm digging it. had never listened to this band, but had heard the name on here a lot. a really really cool photography book about a photographer moving from Birmingham AL, to Bellingham WA (i really like this book. some awesome landscapes and cool shots. i don't normally shoot landscapes myself, but i do enjoy looking through them. plus this book has so much more too. really like it SS) [and not picutred because i just realized i had it on my shelf] Royal Forest - Spillway... pretty chill music. but i like it. has a good sound to it. 7"s touche amore/casket lottery - split... really dig this, had never listened to either band. liking the touche side better though Rise Against - ready to fall.... also awesome Evergreen terrace - dead horses.... have not listened to this yet either Like Rats.... this, this i like. fucking brutal thrash goodness. pretty damn awesome super happy with all the stuff i got. will definitely get around to listening to the rest of the records. thanks so much!! now for the guessing part. i'm gonna say it's @kforkevin777 (your avatar gave you away) also the fact that our location is shown under our names. sorry for not really knowing people on here like many of you do. but fuck, i so appreciate all the stuff you sent me. seriously, thank you!
