I remember why I don't get on VC much anymore. "Have a different opinion than someone?! Well fuck you then!" If someone thinks an ETR release sounds good and someone else doesn't then all we've concluded is really nothing. All of my Harvard albums sound great.

I've been in touch with Ross on this one and he said the band is on board and they are all getting compensated for this release. Even Tyson's family is receiving a check. A few members of the band posted about the release and seem to be pretty excited about it. We can all have our own opinions about Ross and the label but let's try and get our facts straight before we start assuming something.

This is how ETR functions. For every release, even the Nickelodeon ones, there is a large enough contingent who justify it because it has sentimental value to them. But then they reiterate that they will not buy anything else from them. This was an exception. Enough exceptions create a profitable business. Well, and the fact that I'm sure there are hundreds of people buying a lot of these releases who have no idea what Ross is about. Also, I'm not shaming you. Just pointing out that a lot of people here end up having an exception or two when it comes to ETR releases. For every release, there's a few people on here who have to have it, because of how much the record means to them.

It's not an opinion that some of them are sourced from CD, and it's also not an opinion that the same guy sells Cartoon soundtracks played by him and his friends with misleading advertisements that make them seem like originals. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I love SKSK - lot of nostalgia there. I'm glad everybody's getting paid. I'm not a fan of ETR. Those are the opinions.

It can be found pretty easily around the web and on torrent sites. Personally, I'd rather not pay more for a DVD that will sit in a sleeve for all eternity.

Don't listen to vinyl addict, you don't need to check the VTA, it is factory set and since you still have the original cartridge on there it will be fine. And since you cannot change the VTA anyway, you're more likely to damage something than to do any good. Don't worry about the table being perfectly level either, if it's uneven it will have a negative effect on the turntable bearing in the long run, but it definitely won't affect how your records sound. The tonearm moves slightly left/right and up/down during play because records aren't perfect. It's totally fine and you don't need to worry about it. The "bright" sound, from the setup you listed, could very well be the sony's fault. If it's an old receiver from the late 80s or early 90s (a model number would help), those often sound overly bright. The ortofon cartridge also isn't known as a well balanced performer, but it's to be expected from an entry level cart.

The ETR press of Reel Big Fish's Turn The Radio Off sounds like garbage compared to the bands official press. Plus the bands is one LP and much crisper.

I liked this back when it came out. I tried listening to it again about 6 months ago and couldn't make it past a few songs. Totally agree with how bad it aged.

Oh ETR is doing this, we can confirm it's being sourced from a burned copy of the CD then. This album aged horribly anyways, I don't think I'd buy it if a real label was releasing it let alone, this basically bootleg label
