I moved everything into the basement and finally got around to putting everything up. I just have to find a new lounge chair to replace the desk and I'm done for a while.

So I've seen "VNYL" around on Facebook ads or whatever, never paid much attention to it till tonight when I discovered this thread. All I can say is... What a wild ride! From the Kickstarter backers paying $24 for dollar store records, to Nick Alt clearly using his 36K to launch his now-dead store. Oh and when the backers couldn't return their records because VNYL realized that was illegal, incredible! Then the pivot to new records you could just order yourself off Amazon for less money. Now with the Crosly-owning, groove-touching, teenage YouTubers (who are either clearly being paid and not disclosing it or trying real hard to get free records) crying over a Mumford and Sons album they just OMG LOVE SO MUCH (yet never bought). It's 2am I made it half way through this thread (after starting with some of the later pages) but to top it all off, I only just had the realization that this is the same company that's launching the wireless turntable. This is the thread that keeps on giving. Thank you all!

Besides the company shipping these, can we talk about why we are 8 months out from a preorder. It's almost like Trent put these up and didn't have lacquer or anything cut yet. Indie labels like castle face, in the red, trouble in mind can get a recording into our hands in about 6 months from when the recording process ended. The nin camp seems clueless on how to release something physically in 2017. Sandbag might be a mess but if they don't have items to ship it's not their fault

they finally responded to me this morning saying my Fragile Deviations has been shipped with a DHL ground tracking number... i guess i should just be happy they finally shipped my record (today is exactly 1 month since i placed my order), but isn't it like common courtesy to upgrade the shipping method from what was originally paid for in the event that a company takes that ridiculously long to ship an item that's been paid for and by all indication is "in stock"? They couldn't have bumped me up to like FedEx 2-day or something? It's whatever... now i just have to hope that A. they sent me the right fucking item and B. it doesn't show up Somewhat Damaged, or worse, Broken... i responded to them and told them exactly how i feel about my first experience dealing with them and something tells me they will give zero fucks. They either need to hire more people or the people they have working for them need to remove their heads from their asses.

One of my very good friends is going to be visiting Seattle to see Touche Amore. I was looking for other shows for us to go to and it turns out City of Caterpillar is playing the night before (with Thou!). I'm fucking stoked. I haven't seen any west coast announcements yet and was just browsing venue calendars. I'd be excited to see them either way, but it being with a longterm friend and fellow fan, makes it that much better.

I was hoping "Christmas Will Break Your Heart" would show up on this new album... Oh well, the hunt continues.

The new track (Refuge) is just brilliant. Completely redeems Permenating in my eyes. Really looking forward to this album now. AND I managed to score a ticket for the signing in Oxford Street, London. Only 350 tickets, with an exclusive four track acoustic set with SW and Ninet Tayeb!

I don't want to make this thread political, or come off as even more of an asshole here on the boards, but I have to admit that I typically stop following bands on social media when they get too Tumblr for me... and of those, TWIABP probably takes home the prized ribbon, if not for that post alone. I recall that instance and thought it was in pretty poor taste, whoever posted it. Much like the Whirr debacle, though, it didn't ignite the desire for me to trash their records and never listen to them again.

Yeah i got a brand new copy of the fools gold version about 2 years ago for 25 beans really couldn't believe it. From the same guy i told you might have some Agalloch stuff... Their more recent album was a bit different to this from memory, cleaner production and a lot more folk/prog influence. Kinda more like Negura Bunget from memory
