  1. Honestly, any Ryuichi Sakamoto is probably better than this new National album anyway--take it and run

  2. Also worth noting they're on 100% clear vinyl, none of the black smoke in the KRM mockups

  3. Yeah, buying vinyl OSTs these days typically feels like being in an overpriced gift shop at a theme park.

  5. http://www.bullmoose.com/p/26009135/godflesh-post-self U.K. industrial metal pioneers GODFLESH will release their new album, "Post Self", on November 17 via Shellshock. Over two years in the making, "Post Self" explores the less "metal" side of GODFLESH, taking in the formative influences and spitting out something more informed by late '70s early '80s post-punk and industrial than it is anything metal-related. Lyrically, the album deals with anxiety and depression, fear, mortality and paternal and maternal relationships. "Post Self" track listing: 01. Post Self 02. Parasite 03. No Body 04. Mirror Of Finite Light 05. Be God 06. The Cyclic End 07. Pre Self 08. Mortality Sorrow 09. In Your Shadow 10. The Infinite End

  7. I’ll probably pull the trigger as I have no self-control and I’m a sucker for anything on the label. Its a a step up from 8 x cassettes right? Right?!

    THE FEST 16

If it's your first fest, my advice is: - pace yourself! It's a marathon, not a race. - take plenty of water/ food/ rest breaks. - diddley will never cap out, but a lot of the smaller venues will (esp high dive, Atlantic, wooly, Loosey's) and double especially for secret sets. Get there early if it's a must-see. - be flexible. Your plans will change and you won't wind up seeing every band you want to. - eat tacos at flacco's and a gator burrito at Boca. Also hit up the hot dog cart. - if you buy a lot of merch, take advantage of the bag check uhaul at high dive. They let you check it for the day and you can add more stuff to it later. - if you're not staying at either of the official hotels, still try to hit up a pool party/after party/beer purge at one (warning: you can party out front of the HI, but can't go inside if not a guest. Wyndham, you can). - Use the Fest app if you aren't already. Keep an eye out for schedule changes. - hug people and make friends. - If you don't go to one of the 88 Fingers Louie sets, you're fucking up

  9. When they say "shipping begins soon" do they mean "there will be a secret 2nd full length included and a slip with a pre-order code for a 3rd secret full length inside"?

  10. No need to create a new thread...and only maybe five of us in VC care about this band. As We Make Our Way (The Live Recordings) TRIPLE vinyl release on CLEAR vinyl packaged in a gorgeously heavy reverse-back board with the original anchor from "As We Make Our Way" die-cut from the outer LP sleeve revealing three differently coloured (also reverse-back board) inner-sleeves. • This initial pressing of 1000 albums (3LP) will be INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED. NOTE: Only 250 will be available via mail-order with the remainder being available for purchase on tour. https://sophia.bandcamp.com/album/as-we-make-our-way-the-live-recordings

  12. Lol at the fucking criteria... 10\10 maturity, familiarity, and raw emotion. The 3 pillars of album success.

  15. Trick R Treat says $35 on the front page. Then on the actual listing it says $42. Hmmmm.

  16. Ah - they must have just changed it. It said 11:00 CST a few mins ago on Instagram. 11:00 probably is the 'subscribers' time.

  18. This record is honestly just super boring. There's more color on the packaging than in the music IMO. Shame, big fan of her earlier stuff

  19. I would personally doubt this one will come down. If you have the package you know what I mean as it is easily one of the best packages they have done yet. IMO it's worth $60 for the demo LP alone.

  20. Superior viaduct is a great reissue label. Always properly done.

  21. Let's not get carried away. February 15th was probably a remarkably slow day for "VC lols", and he's got the same "award" listed twice. Realistically, the dude has one shtick and gets to flex it when one particularly bad band shits on the VC carpet and drags it across the main board, every couple of years. That's about it.

  22. You can pre-order this from fatbeats as well

  23. Yeah this is for sure legit, been confirmed for while, but I doubt this'll see vinyl until next year, but who knows.

Not sure about the dimensions, but I love a good bit of repurposed upcycling. 9/10.

  28. maybe its just me, but I think International Superhits is a stronger collection. this doesn't even have JAR.

  29. This is dumb. Should just be International Superhits 2!, starting from American Idiot onward.

  30. The fact that this has "Brain Stew" but not "Jaded" is legitimately offensive to me and should be to everyone else. Also, how idiotic is it to have "Holiday" on the tracklisting after "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams"? The tracks segue into each other!

  31. How is it so much to ask for just a nice pressing of Sorcerors Stone by itself?

  33. Just got it and finally I have a copy that doesn’t skip at all on Somewhere Now. They had to have used different plates or something this time around.

  34. Uh. OK. So I've been home all evening. My parents came home from doing whatever and tell me they found a package in our porch. Sure enough it's one of them shitty-ass Euro LP mailers and with a Belgium return address. Open it up and it's a sealed copy of TF: Deviations 1. Still beat up a bit w/ one crimped-ass corner and creases diagonally across the top left. No packing slip or anything. I never got any email notice either. I know at one point weeks and weeks ago, Sand(Shit)bag tweeted back at me that they'd replace the damaged replacement jacket they had sent weeks prior to that. I feel like I've entered Bizarro World or something.
