  1. They're just asking you to separate the condition of the records from the record label.

  2. There's a headlining tour with Lydia being announced too.

  3. Beat me to it. For anyone not in the know – or looking for the first 12" for dirt cheap – Halo 2 clearly miscalculated the hype and aftermarket value for Arcade Fire in 2017. Dumb shit. That's the stuff you love to see, really, since these were probably close to $20 a pop.

  4. They do offer both but it's extremely rare for a lacquer method from them just because the turnaround for DMM is faster with less steps (cheaper). You'll always see a machine stamped matrix/info in the dead wax when they do this because that's part of the plating process rather than hand inscribing it onto the plates after the grooves are set. They're the largest in the world so of course they do fine work most of the time and records they put out sound fine but a lacquer method will always produce a richer sound. DMM has better pitch matching and can fit more music on each side so in addition to the faster turnaround I think those are the main pros so there is a reason for it. I'm sure it will sound good I'm just letting you know because too many labels throw all these words around (I've seen DMM used as a buzz word too which is really funny) and it looks like you're actually interested in how things work. The main thing that irked me about their wording was the hypothetical minute of grooves on a record being about 12 inches long when straightened out compared to 18 inches at 45 rpm. That's just too off to even be hypothetical lol a foot of grooves is a second maybe two (the very first groove on a record before it even spins a whole rotation is 3 feet sooo... I dunno it's just not even close so I don't trust it and saying it's a good deal because it's not $40 is weird too)

  5. How can you say “Who Dat Boy” “I Ain’t Got Time” are boring??

  6. Secular Haze?! You're back! The answer is I'm In Your Mind Fuzz. Promise. Then go earlier for more loud, garagey psychedelic, and go later if you want to hear them try different styles. That's what I think anyway.

  7. Was surprised to see the record being purple. Good stuff. Listening now, has a little static through a few quiet spots. I don't clean my records before spinning them, I only use a brush but a cleaning could possibly fix it. Also Juicy J is on Ultimate

  8. I would select one of the options where an employee buys a copy from Urban Outfitters or Bullmoose and then mails it to you.

  9. After no response for months, I get an email hours after canceling my order. Saying they're sorry for the delay, I can either continue waiting for the chance for them to get more or "if you don't want to wait for that possibility, we do have some other options for you to take right now. If you would like one of these, please reply back to let us know and we will take care of it: 1. Give you store credit on your account (or a Gift card) for the amount you paid plus $5 Or we can send you any of these Brand New albums as a replacement.. 2. Science Fiction (Limited to 5,000 Double Clear Vinyl) LP [looks cooler than the Red/Blue by far] 3. Science Fiction (Double Black Vinyl) LP 4. BOTH: I Am A Nightmare (Etched Vinyl) LP + 3 Demos, Reworked 10" 5. Daisy (180 Gram Gatefold) LP 6. The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me (Limited Double 180 Gram Vinyl) LP" Time to call my credit card company and open a claim. Shitty.

  10. Think I'll wait for Halo 2 to buy some stock so I can grab all 3 12" singles for $9 shipped.

  11. Yeah I noticed after it was from a different site I must have been blinded by that hypothetical comparison haha. I saw a label pressing a single LP "audiophile" black version that used almost all hype words so I can't complain too much about this one when that one says: Audiophile edition Half-Speed Mastering 12’ - heavyweight record 180G Black outer sleeve (350G) + Silver lamination Printed 4/0 Discobag - offset paper Special edition limited to 500 pieces. 350 pre-order only / 150 pieces available the 02/08 at Ground Zero I lost it at "pieces" haha anything worded this way I instantly dismiss... infomercials need to stick to dumb shit on TV.

  14. Ordered both, but feel the opposite. Digging that first Genocide Pact track, but am not that into the Mammoth Grinder song yet. Fantastic artwork for both records though

  17. You know the news is about things that are happening and affect people...right? Also, all the profits from this band are donated to charity.... One second grindcore songs are dope as fuck.

  20. I use discogs because I want my collection to be catalogued in a useful database. Using Google docs seems as useful as writing it down on a napkin you keep in your shirt pocket, at least use Google sheets.

  22. Excellent deductive reasoning. Also, my screen name is buried in the mix cd, vis-a-vis the small brown bike track. There is some great 90s emo/post hardcore in there, with a bunch of local NJ/Staten Island bands.

  25. if discogs was smart they would let me know which items someone has in their collection are on my wantlist, whether they are for sale or not...i cant look through someones 2000 item collection piece by piece, but if i knew they had 10 things on my list, id be more inclined to buy from them. do they not do that because they think it would encourage outside deals? maybe they could have the option "offer on these items" or something

  31. I didn’t want to write this post, but all the “trashing-records-canceling-orders because hey i’m not a pedophile” thing is becoming ridiculous and it made me want to express my opinion, as well as try to understand some points of view. Given that Jesse Lacey revealed himself to be a total asshole beyond any reasonable doubt, I wanna discuss the role of the “victims”. What I get reading this thread is that a 15-16 year old human being is considered adult enough to drive a car and be responsible for other people’s life, BUT not enough to judge whether or not sending naked pictures to a stranger over internet just because he sings in your favourite band is a proper thing to do. One of the victims according to the Pitchfork article claims this kind of “sick” relationship went on until she was 22-23...still unable to judge? And why these “abuses” have been kept buried for 15 years? This sex scandal thing (WAIT: you are really telling me that there are people who use their power to obtain easy sex?? Common I don’t believe you! And what about women/men who use sex to make a career? NO! they don’t exist, they are all victims) has made it difficult to tell whether a woman/man is a real victim (and I’m sure most of them are) or it’s just jumping on the victims’ train to gain some attention:"Jesse told me I was the only one and he lied, now I can make him pay!” “Kevin Spacey touched my dick 30 years ago, the creepy old bastard!” For sure being a “rockstar” and using your influence in such ways is not nice, but it has always been common knowledge in rock’n’roll music so why all of a sudden, something that was known and tolerated for ages has become a crime worth of death sentence? There’s a big difference (and we cannot just ignore it) between real abuses and taking advantage of late teenage fans (I’m not saying is ok, mind!..and it’s not even legal but neither are drugs and I have no knowledge of people trashing lou reed’s records). Before letting the “go fuck/kill yourself” party begin, let me know if some points are unclear due to my poor english. Just note that I’m not judging anyone because this situation is really quite unclear to me, so most of the things I’ve expressed in my post are doubts rather than statements.

  32. this is sooo pathetic and american white male privileged thing to do. They could have charitied them off for a good cause or just return them to the distributor, but no they decided to 'let's trash it because we are better bigger than everyone else" This mentality drove me away from absolutepunk ages ago, and Drew you and your buddies changed nothing ever since.

  33. So.... In the past 10 days I've picked up Pale Emperor on vinyl and I've got the CD of Heaven Upside Down from the library for testing purposes. I gotta say...both of these albums are just ok. I got into Manson during the Portrait days and here was nothing dull or expected about that album.... These two...seem a bit...bland to me and I'm not feeling like I NEED Heave Upside Down.... Am I alone here?

  34. I wouldn't mind paying the higher prices knowing I'd be directly supporting the band. But almost all of the PledgeMusic projects I've backed have always ended up with damaged (and sometimes not-received) product. Whoever is doing the fulfillment on these projects does an incredibly poor job. So I'll be waiting on getting this until I find a copy in the shop or whenever they tour again.

  35. Yeah, I have them all so far. I don't see any way that I will pass on anything they put out. As long as he's is in office, I will be buying Anal Trump records.

  39. Okay, so my first post was fairly obvious and didn't really need to be said. Whatever. I'm not pro-Trump in the least, but this whole thing oozes with political frustrations in the form of low-hanging fruit disguised as a grind track. Would've been cool to see some actual thought put into it aside from a list of track titles tried-and-true jabs at Trump. Maybe I'm just ranting because this whole past month has been a cluster-fuck that I prefer to keep as isolated from music as I can, since it's one of my few solaces. Whatever the case, I'm pretty disappointed to see that not even a fraction of this project's proceeds appear to be going to Planned Parenthood or something similar. Which leads me to my first post, above.
