This was included in today's email announcing a new book of stories for sale on the site: "Soundtracks for the Blind is finished and is in the pipeline. It's taken forever to figure out the packaging and to master it properly. It will be available as a 4xVinyl set, as well as a 3xCD (the 3rd CD is the long out of print Die Tur Ist Zu). Release for Soundtracks will be in May. Die Tur Ist Zu will also be available soon as a limited 3 sided vinyl release, the 4th side being an etched graphic. It will be available for Record Store Day, April 21st in North America (Mute to release at a later date). "

I've known enough delivery drivers to know it sucks to deliver shit in dangerous weather and most people tip like shit. Dude probably made out really well considering it was the super bowl, but still. I typically make it a point not to order delivery food when the roads are bad. I try not to be an asshole, so sometimes I pay an asshole tax. I also try to tip well. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes not. Any bar I frequent, the bartenders will take my order as soon as they see me. Some of them even just make my drink and hand it to me. Going out/getting delivery is a luxury, so I factor that in before doing either.

Just got my tax money...so I think I'm gonna invest in either a Record Doctor or the KAB. So, I'm an asshole...I worked from 3am to 1pm today because we had so many special orders for Super Bowl Sunday (I manage a deli department at a grocery store). Came home and promptly passed out because I was running on about 2 hours of sleep. Woke up hungry as fuck and equally as lazy, so I ordered a pizza over the internet. After about an hour I was like "Wtf is going on?" and then I remembered the Super Bowl was tonight. Got up and looked out the window and there's a crazy amount of snow with more still coming down. Would never have ordered a pizza if I knew either of those two things at the time. Oh well, I'll tip the kid a $20 and apologize.

That's definitely what it was. I actually thought about it maybe a week ago. I saw 10 Cloverfield Lane was on Prime and was like "Wait, wasn't the 3rd one supposed to come out last year?" So I googled it and saw it was delayed a few times and there were rumours of it being completely reedited to remove large amounts of stuff (It was originally called God Particle, so there was presumably some shit about that in there). Was surprised yesterday to hear it was going to surprise drop on Netflix. All of that screamed "This isn't any good, we spent quadruple it's initial budget trying to salvage it, and most people don't know anything about it....so...lets Radiohead this shit and hope people watch it." It wasn't very good, but I'm a sucker for space movies so I had a good enough time.

I think they had both Mass VI versions at their show in Berlin and lots of other stuff on vinyl.

I haven't gotten through all of the albums yet, only up to part 3. All of them so far have sounded really nice and I don't have an amazing set up. Very minimal surface noise here and there during the super quiet parts. I had no pops or skips or anything so far though. $215 shipped I would say definitely worth it. It came to like $280+ for me after tax/shipping

I almost picked up a bootleg of Prince's Black Album yesterday from a local store. I just couldn't drop the $30 on it without knowing how it sounds.

I watched it last night and thought it was a dud. Seemed to be a run-of-the-mill sci-fi horror movie that they slapped the Cloverfield brand onto for some reason. The cynical side of me thinks Netflix dropped it with little announcement as an attempt to get ahead of the fact that it isn't very good. After seeing it and knowing that Paramount wasn't happy with it seems to confirm that a bit. I wouldn't say don't watch it, but it's definitely far worse than the last two.

No box set for me. Seems like a waste they wouldnt at least chuck in 10" Picture discs to sweeten the deal. Bring on the Amazon pre order

I still have yet to see APTBS live, and they played within 1 hr of me last year. They seem to be constantly on tour, must write on the road. RD said they have 3 or 4 new songs playing live now and looking to add a few more before releasing something this year. It's going to be hard to top Pure Mood, but they do seem to manage to keep the bar with each release. Love everything they've done. I haven't gotten into APTBS last 2 albums as much as the first 2. @mrewest has seen the light

Lots of good suggestions so far - The Arboretum in Jamacia Plain (southwest part of the city) is great, and assuming it's nice it can be fun to just wander around the trails. They also have a small Japanese Bonsai garden if thousand year old mini-trees are your thing. As a previous poster mentioned the Aquarium is fun (but quick), and they have all sorts of boat tours, whale watches, etc. that leave from that same area. Also, as cheesy as they may be, the ghost tours around the North End and Downtown are actually quite entertaining for the kids and educational for the older folk. And there is always Top of the Hub, an overpriced but pretty tasty restaurant on the top floor of the Prudential Center, with 360-degree views of the city (best at night); during the day you can walk the observation deck just one floor below for unobstructed views/photo ops. Lastly, if the weather cooperates it can be great to go out on the Harbor Island Ferry, specifically George's Island is cool because it has an old Civil War fort (Fort Warren) that you can explore as much as you want. Can throw some restaurant suggestions your way as well if you want.
