  1. Band who hasn’t put out a record in 15 years doesnt sound like the same band from 18 years ago? Really?????? Waahhhh! Sometimes this board makes me want throw things into oncoming traffic.

  2. Ok. Didn't have as much time as i thought yesterday, two kids have this effect. There is no 759090x-string anywhere on the matrixes on the vinyl, no difference between the sleeves, the paper etc feels exactly the same. This could indicate that they where made at the same time, and that would be 2001. A1/B1 has small inperfections as i said earlier, I haven't played it yet thou. Dunno if it's heard. The other release is; BLACK (2001?) Side A: TWSLP13 A-2 DAMONT Side B: TWSLP13 B-2 DAMONT Side C: TWSLP13 C1 Side D: TWSLP13 D1 NO 7590-string! My theory; 2001: First press plates (A1/B1) deteriorated or something broke within the press/plates etc, and the plates had to be scrapped. They replaced the A1/B1 plates with A-2/B-2 at DAMONT, but kept the earlier C1/D1 and the sleeves. This would explain why only one disc has the DAMONT etching and the same sleeves. 2008: Reuse of A-2/B-2 and C1/D1 plates but added the machined 75909-string to keep them seperated. This would explain why it says DAMONT at all since the plant closed in 2006. A black repress should have the 7590-string as well. Sleeves being the same 2001 and 2008 is strange... Thoughts? Edit: I'll email Simon Holtom and ask if he recalls anything about this. That would be final. :::)

  3. Yep. I agree. I always get giddy when the title track is also the final track, to me it’s the perfect setup for an epic closer. Many times they fall flat or don’t meet my expectation. Fortunately this is one of the rare times where it does meet my hopes 100%

  13. Here's what I've watched over the last week or so. Channel Zero - Season 1 & 2 - Definitely agree that the first one was better, but I mostly enjoyed season two. I think it might've worked better as a 2 hour movie under the Channel Zero name. It didn't seem to hold my interest quite like season one did. Season one was pretty fun and enjoyable. I'll probably get caught up on season 3 this weekend. The Strange Ones - I thought this was going to be a time travel movie with some horror to it. It was neither, just a mediocre drama. Sun Choke - Right about the point where I was going to turn this off, it got very dark and much more interesting. Doesn't make up for a boring first half, but I felt less like it wasted my time. Ilsa : She Wolf of the SS - Mostly had this in the background and it was exactly what I expected. Not a great exploitation movie at all, but kind of a fascinating one to watch. The Last Girl Standing - The basic premise here was good, bad execution almost all the way through. Could probably watch the first and last 20 minutes and have a much better movie experience, the middle is a slog. Benny's Video - Not quite the punch in the gut that Funny Games is, but the coldness is definitely there. Save for it being a little long, I liked it quite a bit. The Honor Farm - I'm not sure if I'd ever watch this again or recommend it, but I thought it was an ok way to waste 75 minutes. Never Open The Door - Great presentation all the way through. It's just ruined by generic and unlikeable characters who argue with each other far too much.

That was my intro. I co mpare that with MMJs O konokos, a fantastic live album and a great representation of their discography.

  17. The Black LP is $17 and its rarer /400...I think I paid 22 total with shipping which is pretty standard anymore. I don't know why everyone is caught up on the color variant or why it has to come with the CD...but whatever...this album is going to rock fucking hard!

  18. It is. Bullmoose tweeted about it earlier in the week (end of last week maybe?). They said its gonna be everywhere and plentiful. They'll post pre-orders when they get all the info.

  21. Nobody Is Gonna Get A Zebra (so quit fuckin' asking). This is a fact. The parenthesis was later dropped due to copyright issues. My mom saw pac at a gas station last night and coincidentally asked him this very question. I coincidentally wondered it aloud in her presence. How fortuitous for our questioner.

  23. Side note on Codex VI pressings: This comment was found in the Discogs entry comment section. 1) Green and Blue copies are not bootleg or unofficial. 2) Black copies + Blue copies + Green copies = 2000 copies. 3) There is no association between colors and nations. 4) The're just different coloured randomly distributed. Is all! Source: S. Holtom (Sales & Distribution, Twisted Music)

  26. Let's just see how far this rabbit hole goes... I like to spend some time checking out old archived Twisted/Shpongle pages in search of first hand info about releases. I've been searching for pressing numbers and exact release dates to update their respective Discogs entries... Example: Here's the original sales page for the AYS minidisc. Shpongle - Are You Shpongled? (Minidisc) [TWSMD4] https://web.archive.org/web/20101016011913/http://www.twistedrecords.co.uk:80/shop/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=88 You guys help me look for a ~2008 TOTI announcement! Beware, the archive is full of dead ends. It's like a choose your own adventure! Haha

  29. Wow just read that Dan did the drums for the album although he's not touring/performing with the band. Still, that is a major reason behind the original SF sound and feel. Dan was one of my favorite drummers during LIEY, Still Searching, LINAWR and The Fire.

  30. I guess I’m in the minority that would rather sleep than voluntarily waste money/be in crowds. I absolutely love shops, including my local, but there’s no reason to be at RSD if I don’t have to be. it’s a circus

  31. If you're still in the market I have almost an identical setup as you (Debut III, Speed Box S, and an old 90's Marantz integrated amp). I bought the Parks Audio Budgie last year and have been nothing but satisfied with the sound. Shanon, the guy who builds all the units by hand is super helpful, and gave me some tweaks to customize the sound for my specific components. Plus the added cool-factor of the tubes glowing at night doesn't hurt, highly suggested! Might be a bit on the pricey side but for what he charges it's a steal compared to a lot of other products in the same range.

  38. Fuck. Apparently instead of ordering that Merlin record from The Company...I ordered Orphans of Doom. Super bummed. It's on my paypal receipt and everything, so it's not their fault. I just fucked up.
