the whole thing is super off in unpleasant kind of way. Like I feel song supposed sound like a "rough lo-fi/analogue tape demo" but it sounds clean, badly mixed/produced with some stock presets slapped on guitar in a hurry. Based on how he sings text feels like it supposed to be personal and sad. it. But its just stupid and awkward. Video feels like it supposed to be "old found tape" or something. But it looks irritatingly modern and out of place. Anthony looks happy and playfull in the video. But I can't shake the feeling that I watch a guy who will commit suicide in a few weeks. Overall very eerie video\song.

AFAIK it’s only with Cove. I guess the better way to phrase this is: “I wish labels would stop making artists do this.” I believe they are doing this exactly why Taylor Swift, Senses Fail, etc have all done this. A label won’t give up the rights to the music so they’re hoping fans will just move on to this version on streaming services.

Well. My store didn’t even get their allotted copy of My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. The owner told me that if they receive it in a later shipment, he’ll hold it for me. But he did have the Malfunkshun for me. So that’s cool & snagged that.

thats cool and all but youre about 40 years too late on that. i havent listened to the track but i bet it sounds like most SG which makes half the people on here dizzy and the other half angry some of the best music of this century has been made with a keyboard and a hard drive (edit: not even that kind of keyboard)

Get upset or not that shit is incredibly corny and I'll be personally judging people who allow rap/hip-hop/pop artist/producer roles to invade rock genres. Step one to forgetting how to play instruments as a society and that's not hyperbole.

Not been buying much vinyl recently but picked up Team Sleep and ATDI online tonight.

Bought my copy off the shelf on Saturday morning. Low pressing of 775 units globally - plus, Wax Trax also held back copies to sell on their site this weekend. As of today ~24% of the total pressing is reporting in peoples collections on Discogs.

Someone was at one of our local shops at like 2 pm yesterday. Things have gotten out of hand.

Loved the more west coast cool jazz in my twenties and since have jumped into my Blue Note era in my thirties. Started with Ike Quebec and Grant Green and now has ballooned to a 24h playlist. So much jazz to catch up on. Love me some 70s Japanese jazz. Soul Media - Funky Stuff is another I’ve grooved to.

Got Malfunshun, Team Sleep and Screaming Trees. Another successful RSD.

I enjoyed the Wisp ep the few times I've listened to it, and knowing that these are 'collaborations' with her vocals and other bands' instrumentations doesn't so much hamper me liking the sound of it, but it would at least make me hesitant about going to a show, not knowing if there would be any sort of cohesive band. It would also halt a blind buy of her future music, as she tries to actually learn to play instruments - which she said she is now doing. Who knows if she'll live up to the hype and praise she's being given or will justify some people's distain. Time will tell.

I ended up filing a claim through PayPal, and thanks to their 180 day money back guarantee, I was refunded for my purchase (minus 1 cent). I was really expecting them to to say, sorry there's nothing we can do because Bandbox has essentially gone under, but that was not the case. The process was pretty easy through PayPal. The only glitch was I couldn't complete the forms for the full amount of the purchase. I kept getting an error stating that the claim could not be for the full amount..... not sure what's up with that, so i filed the claim for the full amount minus a penny. I received my refund today.

I take back what I said, this album is an absolute killer. The title track may be the weakest song but it’s still decent. No filler on this record whatsoever. ❤️
