  5. Out March 30 on A-F Records. Bundle and lp options. Spanish Love Songs is a five piece punk band based in Los Angeles, CA. They formed in 2014 after the demise of a previous band and a chance Craiglist post about lonely people looking to go to punk shows. Their sound combines the energy of drunken bar shows with the immediacy of intimate, lived-in lyrics. The band has spent the past two years expanding their sound both musically and lyrically, as evidenced by the songs on Schmaltz. More anthemic than ever, the band confidently tears through these songs in which Slocum turns his attention inward, trying to find positivity and self-acceptance in a world that doesn’t always feel like home. It’s new territory for the band of so-called grouch punks, as they try to grow into the best version of the band (& themselves). They’ll try to enjoy it. ***please note: this is a pre-order item and will ship on or around it's release date of 3/30/18*** http://a-frecords.limitedrun.com/categories/spanish-love-songs New song: RIYL; the Menzingers, Pup, Captain We're Sinking

    Record Store Day 2018

Got in line in Asbury Park at 915, they opened at 10. Was able to snag the only things I was looking for (Descendents 7" & Superchunk 7"). Would call that a success. Especially cause I'm gonna go get pancakes now.
  8. Ahh, gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up! Seeing them tomorrow in Philadelphia, pretty pumped. Was hoping they'd have them then. I'll just order from Bearded Punk though!
  9. Wiretap Records who put this out in the US says a repress is "coming soon" through their store. So maybe they'e going to have it too. http://wiretaprecords.limitedrun.com/products/573684-spanish-love-songs-giant-sings-the-blues-12-lp
  10. Was at the show last night, had to bail on the lp. I'm sure it's worth the 40$ but I decided I'd rather have a black copy for $20ish.

Probably will bail on those Tom Waits lps at 32$ a piece. 100$ for 3 records doesn't sound like a good time.

  21. Bundles and lp available - out April 13 http://www.b9store.com/products/611130-war-on-women-capture-the-flag /150 red, white, blue tricolor /350 clear with teal splatter /700 teal New song: https://www.stereogum.com/1984518/war-on-women-ydtmhtl/music/?utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral Baltimore’s War On Women were born screaming—at the world, at the status quo, in the face of oppression. The band’s forthcoming album Capture The Flag calcifies that rage, and no one in its wake is safe. Much more than a collection of songs or sonic experiment, Capture The Flag is a call to action that cannot be ignored. Riff-fueled manifestos are nothing new for War On Women. The co-ed feminist punk troupe has been tackling injustice one song at a time since their 2010 inception. Storming out the gate with teeth gnashing and spitting venom, War On Women’s self-titled 2015 debut crossbred riot grrrl ferocity with the nimble aggression of thrash. Hailed for their crystalline jabs at societal ills, War On Women prove that hardcore can incite change that ripples far beyond the parameters of the stage. With hundreds of shows and years of activism behind them, Capture The Flag finds War On Women more dogged than ever. Taking shape over the course of summer 2017, the band’s sophomore effort delves into injustices at both the macro and micro levels. Religious subjugation, gun violence, armchair activists, gender orgasm gap, female genital mutilation, the fetishization of motherhood, and toxic relationships—no breed of oppression defies War On Women’s purview. Recorded with J Robbins in Magpie Cage Recording Studio, Capture The Flag finds the band in their sonic wheelhouse, wedged somewhere between rebellious and rousing. Enlisting the talents of their activist predecessors (Kathleen Hanna), glass ceiling shattering contemporaries (Joanna Angel), and own family (Brooks’s daughter Eva), Capture The Flag is a composite character of one of hardcore’s most riling bands. Ceding the gang vocals that peppered their debut album, War On Women opted to cultivate the singular voices of women who have devoted their lives to riling against the powers that be. The result is a crucible of discontent that will inspire as much as it will incense.
