I picked my copy four years ago and is most likely identical to the copies Temp Res is selling now. I'm not at home, so I can't check for sure, but I believe that the discs are in printed inner sleeves. If I'm thinking of the right thing (which I think I am), I remember them being fairly thin, but they were fine (no splits). I remember the discs sounding really good also, no idea what that bozo on discogs is talking about.

Eastbound & Down tv series

Glad I was able to fit tonight's episode in before work. The party scene was really uncomfortable, even by this shows standards. The ending surprised me a bit, only because Kenny's plans going well is so rare (which we witnessed earlier in the episode). Maria's boobs cracked me up, they're ridiculous! I'm glad this show is going out on a high note, I'm really looking forward to next week. -
What books are you reading?

I wouldn't recommend going with Snuff next (and honestly have trouble recommending it or anything written afterwards in general). I'd say check out Rant (my favorite) or Survivor. As a whole, I'd say his work from Fight Club to Rant are his strongest, seems like he started phoning it in afterward. I did enjoy both of his non-fiction works as well, although the one about Portland might be hard to get into if you haven't spent a little time there. -
Arcade Fire - Reflektor

I'm with Derek on this. I enjoyed Neon Bible quite a bit when it was released, but I when I revisited it shortly after The Suburbs was released, it really hit me how fantastic the album was. To me, the album has a much more somber feel to it (especially on Ocean of Noise) and maybe that's why it doesn't click with people as much as Funeral or The Suburbs. It'll probably always be the black sheep in their catalogue, but I think it's as rewarding as anything else they've done, just perhaps for different reasons. -

Listened to this yesterday at work. I kept getting distracted by it, which is always a good sign. I liked the second half more than the first, but I have a feeling that it'll grow on me after repeat listens. I plan on picking it up sometime this week and really spending some time with it. -
SONS OF ANARCHY Season 6 Thread **Spoilers**
radiatorhums replied to jhulud's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Based on the song selections the show makes, only a bad hard rock cover of it would fit. -

PO: Pelican - Forever Becoming
radiatorhums replied to nyhi's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I picked up the box three or four years ago. It was close to the same cost as picking up all the content individually (this was before all the represses), plus it came in a big ass box. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. My only complaint is that they skimped on the packing for the individual LPs. None of them are gatefolds and if I recall right, there aren't any inserts. The packaging is all uniform and does look really slick though. -

PO: Dum Dum Girls-Too True (Loser Edition + 7")
radiatorhums replied to kamalatapes's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'm not that far from their office, even the slowest shipping would show up for me the next day. I don't order a ton from Sub Pop, but it always irks me being stuck paying for quick shipping that doesn't really matter. -

That would be a bummer. Oh well, some Hammock vinyl is better than no Hammock vinyl. -

I just listened to it and I can't agree more. It might be my favorite thing I've heard from them. Dig the new song too, hope that's the direction the album went. -

I'm glad to see that Hammock is giving vinyl more attention. Hopefully more of the back catalogue will get pressed. To sell 50 bundles, of course! Seems like most of them are gone at this point too. -
What books are you reading?
radiatorhums replied to beneathbelow's topic in Everything Else Message Board
I have a first edition of Invisible Monsters somewhere in my book shelf. I should dig that out again, I haven't read it since it was published (and I don't remember liking it that much then). -
Document #8 got repressed a few years ago by Robotic Empire. It doesn't look like they have any more copies in their store, but it looks like it isn't too expensive on discogs. If you're not looking for a specific variant, that might be the easiest and cheapest way to go.

Funny you mention that : http://www.avclub.com/articles/and-now-sleepaway-camp-will-also-get-a-reboot,105018/

I watched that a few weeks ago and enjoyed it. Wasn't great, but it was worth a once through. I watched Master Pancake do a riff on that last weekend, it was a blast!

I watched the Goth Kids episode on a plane and was trying very hard to keep my laughter down, really good episode. Last night's was ok, but I think it's the weakest of the season (which I think has been strong as a whole).

I somehow still haven't listened to the last EP, but I've dug everything they've done up until that. Not entirely sure about the cover art, but I'm excited for this. -

Taking that with a grain of salt, but I'll be pretty let down if that's true. -
Save $20 On 1 Year Amazon Prime Membership
radiatorhums replied to dantheriver's topic in Everything Else Message Board
My brother added me as a 'guest' on his account, which entitles me to the free shipping (but no streaming and what not). I'm not sure if it's limited to family members, but if streaming isn't important to you, piggy back on someone's account. I ordered quite a bit from Amazon before, but the Prime shipping has increased that. -
I've been contemplating picking that up every time I'm in the store. Bear Republic can do no wrong in my book. I had their Peter Brown Tribute Ale last week and it was very good.
