Saw them perform last night at MoMA PS1. Madlib was drunk as hell, kind of kept messing with the beats too much and Freddie would have to finish the verse acapella and end songs early. Opened with Crime Pays and encored with Crime Pays. Also played Thuggin twice.

Education and Palmolive are the two standouts for me. The singles he released also. I like the album after a couple listens but Pinata will be hard to top. Vocals are mixed really weird to me

Just saw that Billy Rymer of DEP actually played drums on this record.

Man this album rips IMO. Some of the phrases remind me of Dillinger Escape Plan. They seemed to incorporate all their influences/styles into one record. Manny kills the bass throughout the album as well. Yeah the mix could have definitely been more vocal friendly but I guarantee this is how they wanted it to sound.

I have a couple extra tickets for tonights show at terminal 5. Good chance to snag the 4LP

No, Id say the closest thing you can buy brand new like a 1200, is the PLX 1000. Even that is over priced though. Better off just getting the real thing.
