Tried finding the original "Holy Fuckin' Shit ISIS box set" thread but it wouldn't pop...so here it is... From A. Turner's blog posted today: as some of you may already know, the ISIS "holy tears" single that was scheduled to come out today, has been cancelled. we discovered at the last minute that the first song on the finished version of the single was the wrong song. what should've been "holy tears" was actually "wrists of kings". now while we like both songs, we figured we couldn't very well release a "holy tears" single with out that particular song being on the damn disc. oh well - it'll still come out, we're just not sure when. in the meantime check out: http://www.myspace.com/dominichailstone this is the myspace page for the guy who directed the video for "holy tears", which is to be included as CD-rom content on the single (assuming it ever comes out), and eventually as part of a future ISIS dvd. the video itself is incredible, at least in my estimation, and dominic has done a lot of other great work, some of which may be sampled via his myspace page. in other ISIS news, i received one copy of the completed ISIS 12xLP box set today, and i must say i think it turned out splendidly. i'll try to create another post dedicated to that in the next day or so. very excited about that.... a

That first sentence threw me off...my reaction was like "Of course I always have shit I buy from eBay delivered!" But then you expanded... I know what you mean though. I've had a few local purchases where I have either met the person and paid them there. Some flat out refuse to do it though. The bank on jacking up the shipping costs to make some extra and cover some of the fees...

I'd have snagged the Miami date...oh well...

Which ones are the ones in stores now then? I remember seeing a bunch at the Toys R' Us near me. I can always go back and check to see what they have and let you know.

Unrelated to the cost, but I am going to throw this idea/suggestion out there... I think one of the 7"s should be the music that was on MTB POI bonus cd that came w/ the first pressings of it. That would be pretty rad to have.

Like it has been said (and beaten to death already), it's all subjective and what you desire the most...record-wise for this discussion...or argument depending how much of a dick you want to be... As I said in the example, TGUK FMM was one for me...I know it pops up on eBay often...but it came up at the right time and I was able to get it for a decent amount and in perfect shape. I don't think it's a matter of how rare the record may be, it comes down to how much that one person wants it and has been looking for it. If we want to get into broad definition of "white whales", one right now for me is The God Machine "Scenes From The Second Storey" 2x12"...I rarely see it, and when it does, it goes for easily $200+. Only time will tell if I am able to track a copy down and get it...
