I've tried this band several times but it never seems to click for me. Love death metal, love the scifi vibes, but... something about the mix (of the music, on their albums) just never works for me.

I don't really hear the grindcore, but I gather they've been heading well into blackened death for a while. Sounds like Ulcerate/Black Curse/Infernal Coil type stuff more than grindcore, but I dig it!

Lots of great releases today, including (finally) some solid death metal. Semi-surprising to some, myself included - I think Chris Reifert's new album with Greg Wilkinson (both from Autopsy) as Static Abyss is worth checking out. Only vinyl release is on 140g black, up on Amazon, Bandcamp, and Peaceville's shop.
