Pre-ordered the starburst and 7". I loved the last album and the new single leads me to believe this is going to be a little more rockin'.

It was at the Jackpot in Lawrence, KS. It's a decent venue but super tiny and the place wasn't totally packed. Lots of kids jumping out onto tile floor and/or getting kicked in the face.

I just did the exact same on my order. Saw these guys Monday night and they were spectacular but the crowd was awful. They were into it but obnoxious. Crowd surfing is already annoying but doing it in a fucking bar the size of a basement (no pun intended) is flat out dangerous.

Never heard of 'em but I seem to love every Japanese rock band I come across so I'll check them out. Thanks!

Awesome! There's been multiple pressings of AWKIF and BNE but Riot hasn't been pressed since it came out I'm pretty sure so I'm certainly in for that. Hopefully there will be enough copies made to squash out the eBay prices for all three albums.

I saw this weeks ago but just wanted to say thanks for putting these out! I checked out Tokyo Karankoron, fell in love, and had to have it on vinyl!

And plus it's not like we've been waiting 7 years for this. You can't blame folks for being a little bit excited.

Sweet! I'm assuming the HT version will be just as good.

Even if HT is sold out online I don't see these being too hard to track down in stores. Has anyone had a chance to check out the sound quality of either version? Splatter vinyl is very pretty but also tends to have a lotta surface noise.

A side is the theme music just as it's heard in the game, complete with the tempo change for when time is running out and the sound when Mario dies. A little morbid but neat. B side is the theme song remixed with some added instruments and sound FX from the game. It's funky.

I got my orange copy in a few days ago and have already played it a ton. $20 is pretty expensive for a bootleg 7" but I will say it sounds pretty damn good and the packaging is done very well. Nintendo is silly for not doing these themselves!

I placed an order with them this morning. It was listed as "low stock level" so my fingers are crossed I'll get one.

No comment on the rest but I hear ya on that last point. I am sick of seeing 180 gram vinyl advertised as automatically having better sound quality. It doesn't. Simple as that.

I know! And it took over a decade for people to start back-pedaling and say it's a classic. That's the very reason I can't trust any music reviewers.

Both new songs really aren't that bad. Certainly better than most of the stuff on the last few records. Can you imagine how much the snarky people of the internet would hate The Blue Album and Pinkerton if they were released today? Both had plenty of goofy lyrics but no one seems to mind a damn bit.

Awesome! How is the track list divided among the sides? Also I bet some jackass will use this photo for their eBay listing. :|
