I just added the 666th record to my collection so what better time to share my adult play area:

Yep... I ordered three from them during the last 25% sale and it came in one of their shitty flat mailers... one side of the mailer had come completely unsealed. I could look in and see the records. Unbelievably there was no damage, I got lucky.

It's part of Earache's "Vinyl On Demand" store (http://ondemand.earache.com)... basically they have a pre-order system set up and when a record gets to 500 pre-orders it gets pressed. Unfortunately Us and Them is at 51 right now. I've been waiting on this too and hoped there would be more demand considering it's never been pressed on vinyl.

I just went through everything that was visible and can't find anything. I know very little about back end programming though and they are using Wordpress, which I also know very little about. I got nothing

I got it, it sounds decent enough. The record looks awful though, some nasty looking gashes and dirty. Surprisingly it plays fine considering.

Yeah, that's definitely possible. I'll send an email if it doesn't show up by the end of the week and see if I can get a tracking number.

Definitely worth tracking down this repress, it looks and sounds great.

Did anyone in the US receive Selfless from Earache yet? I got a shipping confirmation two weeks ago but still haven't received it. I had the same issue with the Streetcleaner repress, they actually had to send me another one. I wish Earache provide tracking info.

Ugh all these reissues in the last week or two...

Thrill Jockey is really jerking me around right now. I ordered the pink variant of the new Body album (which is now sold out through them) and the new Matmos. When I placed the order, I slipped up and forgot to include my apartment number. Honest mistake, and I emailed them three minutes later to let them know the correction. At the time I didn't have a phone number for them, and they don't have one listed on their site. Of course they shipped it out without the apartment number. To make matters worse, I get a reply to my email THE DAY AFTER they shipped it confirming the correct address. My local USPS branch didn't even try to deliver it, they just marked it Undeliverable and sent it back. USPS tracking says it apparently left the distribution center April 6 and is in transit to the return destination. I've called USPS multiple times (including both local post offices) to try and get it resolved or tracked down. They say it could take up to 30 days. Tonight I called Thrill Jockey and spoke with Chris. I was hoping they'd offer an "exchange". I didn't expect my shipping cost back, and I offered to pay for the new shipping, even though I did my due diligence. In an earlier email with them they even suggested a refund, but tonight they wouldn't budge. I got a "sorry, you should have got it insured". Finally I agreed to wait one more week, and Chris is supposedly going to contact USPS and email me back. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, but I already called my bank and they said this situation is eligible for a fraud claim. I love Thrill Jockey as a label and I'd hate to have to go that route, but they dropped the ball and seem like they don't want to work with me on this at all. On top of that, I could tell Chris was fighting to not give me an attitude, even though I remained calm. This sucks and I needed to rant. I just wanna listen to my records. Anyone else have similar experiences with them?

Just got a shipping confirmation from Relapse... My reaction when I saw the email notification pop up on my phone:

I got this and just listened. The volume is pretty low, which I'm sure has to do with the length of each side, but cranked up it sounds pretty good. Knowing it's from Plain I'm 99% sure it's sourced from a CD, but there's very little surface noise or weird shit that has happened with other Plain releases.

I'm so tempted to order this from a European Discogs seller even though I already have it pre-ordered from Bullmoose. August feels like eternity They were insane at Webster Hall last night. Most energy I've seen a NYC crowd have in a while.

I called around 5:30 and the guy I spoke with said they were $35. I didn't get details on which ones they had.

Just called, they re-placed the order, honored the same price, and said they won't charge shipping since it was part of an order that I already paid shipping for. I don't mind waiting for this at $14.98. They seem like a great company, I placed three orders with 15 records total and this is the only one that hasn't shown up. I've been very pleased.
