  1. Thanks for that info, Chief. I too have a first press of Compton, but damn if that bonus beats track doesn't get me excited. It's such a groundbreaking amazing album I can totally justify a rebuy.
  2. Nice. For some reason test printings fascinate me. The handwritten notes and the whole process behind it is cool. I have a test of Comets on Fire Bong Voyage that is all black with the cover taped on. It's really odd and ugly. But so cool to have. I need to find more test printings.
  3. I've had the recent Rhymesayers repress for a while now. But I finally cracked the thing open and took a listen yesterday. I noticed something odd, even though all the track listings are correct on the package, One Beer and Deep Fried Frenz are flipped. One Beer is supposed to end Side A and DFF start Side B. But instead DFF ends A and One Beer begins B. Is this a full press error? Anyone else encounter this?
  4. I too enjoy Carissa's Wierd more (speaking of which was Songs About Leaving ever pressed to vinyl?), but this album is amazing. I'm so ordering. And from here of course.
  5. This reminds me of when I got Of Montreal's The Gay Parade after I had been looking for it for a quite a while. After all most two months of waiting and annoying the seller, it comes. And the front cover is just marked up and down with big gobs of resin. A desperate man could have gotten high of the cover to that record a few times over. I was pretty damn pissed. Of course since then I've replaced the record.
  6. Just ordered: (Broken Social Scene Presents) Kevin Drew - Spirit If 2Xlp Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam 2xlp It's kind of odd that an album the length of SJ would be on 2 vinyl, but it seems they've done that with all of the latest studio albums. But here comes the Indian is on one LP and sounds fantastic. And it's longer. I kinda like the flow of their albums without three breaks. But, it sure beats listening to it on an ipod. At least they're are no major long songs so they won't fuck with the sequencing like they did for Panda Bear's Person Pitch wax.
  7. I have both live records on CD (or rather my computer, cause I haven't played a physical CD in ages) and I love them. Not really Sun Kil related, all though on the latter album he plays some songs done for that outfit, but they are still really great laid back live albums. Perfect for vinyl, if you ask me.
  8. You said it, oakland. Bring back the sludge, Pelican. Please. I almost can't bring myself to buy the new record. It's okay, but I don't really see myself spending twenty bucks on something just to sit on a shelf these days. Although, even though I'm not the color buying stock up type, the records look beautiful and are very tempting.
  9. Whoa. That's awesome. I didn't even know this was coming. Thanks. I'm so getting on this right away.
