  2. Got some nice Wilco, Blur, and Elliott Smith albums for $10 each. Thanks VC!
  3. Going to stop at my local one tomorrow! Hope they have Blur, James Blake, David Lynch, or Wilco on sale. Wasn't planning on getting Elliott Smith's XO since Plain Recordings sucks, but if I see it for $10 I'm getting it.
  4. I'm not concerned about "collectibility," I just want to make it seem like it was glued professionally. If I wanted collectibility, I wouldn't have taken it out of the shrink wrap. Rubber cement is a good idea. Well, better than glue sticks anyway. I'll research more on gluing records tomorrow.
  5. I guess it's unreasonable to expect a $40 album jacket to arrive intact. I'm sure some of the "just superglue it" people wouldn't do it if they were in the same situation. This isn't some $12 Bon Iver record that I wouldn't mind gluing. It's a limited edition collector's album that was expensive. I didn't buy a DIY project, and it's apparently in bad taste to ask for a jacket that is glued properly. Edit: I'm not mad at Mondo or anything, they're in the process of helping me out. It's just that for some reason it seems like I'm being ridiculed for not wanting to glue a brand new record.
  6. I paid over $40 for this, I shouldn't have to glue it myself. That should go unsaid...
  7. Yes, and I think around 10,000 copies were made. I would expect the mono to be more limited...
  8. Got an email back. They said they forgot to combine the order but they'll ship version B out as fast as they can.
  9. That's partially why. The other half is quality control issues. In the US, Rainbo sucked and there were many pressing defects. The EU versions were fine.
  10. They were all pressed in mono and stereo originally, except for Abbey Road and Let It Be, which were stereo only.
  11. Hmm, no I have not. Just two charges for $42. Edit: Just tracked my "version A" shipment and it should get here tomorrow so I should know for sure by then.
  12. Haha not going to lie, I'm a bit nervous about my Jurassic Park vinyl. I ordered version A and B on different orders (because I was afraid B would sell out really quickly, and it did). I told them to combine the orders, and I received an email saying the combination was successful. Later that day, I got an email that said version A has shipped, and when I check the My Account section, version B says Processing. I sent them an email asking what was going on and they haven't replied back. I know I'm being overly worried, but if I somehow miss out on version B, I will go crazy.
  13. Are these true analog? You can say "remastered from the original analog tapes" and still use digital files for the vinyl like they did with the stereo set. The White Album will be mine since it's a bitch to find in mono. Edit: Yep: "The EMI representative told me that after absorbing the criticism heaped on the digitally sourced stereo box—including the extensive analogplanet.com coverage, which was correctly construed as constructive criticism—the decision was made to produce the mono LPs using an all analog mastering chain."
  14. Hmmm I'll probably get the white one. Glow in the dark vinyl sounds like garbage and it's $10 more.
