  1. End of the season 5 premier episode, I think.
  2. The notion of communicating with the "outside world" was explored in the first season episode when they were at the CDC building, wasn't it? The scientist was in touch with other parts of the US, and the world, and explained that communications had been lost. I agree with jhulud though. I think the way the characters are playing out in the show reflects how isolating it would be to live in an apocalyptic world with no functioning communication infrastructure (though I guess Terminus had some sort of radio broadcast going?), a non-functioning electrical grid, and roads so littered with debris that they're nearly useless. Not to mention the complete breakdown of civility between most surviving humans. There are no resources and you can't trust anyone. Most of the time the characters are just living by their wits and their feet. I think that's part of what makes the show interesting.
  3. Is the Superbad OST a double LP or single? I've seen other places list this as a 2 LP with a screen print on one side but your site doesn't mention any of that. Just wondering if there's two different pressings of this release.
  4. I think the second musical performance was actually worse than the first. That creepy girl from The Ring is a terrible singer.
  5. Yeah, the family reunion sketch was actually really funny.
  6. Really, Jim Carrey, your idea of a topical monologue in 2014 is a three minute Elvis joke? Ugh.
  7. Trick R Treat is up on amazon.ca for $44 with a November 11 release date. I'd expect the price to go down a little bit. http://www.amazon.ca/Trick-Treat-Vinyl-Douglas-Pipes/dp/B00OIQ0QTC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1413508270&sr=8-1 I'm sure it'll pop up on amazon.com as well.
  8. Finally got down to Paper Bag's office today to pick up my order. Black/gold stripe LP with signed jacket, coffee mug, patch, flexi, and a Paper Bag sampler CD. The 45/33 flexi is indeed double sided with one side at 33 rpm and one side at 45 rpm. It sounds like the exact same song ("45/33") on both sides.
  9. The flexi from Paper Bag is for the song "45/33", right? It was Saddle Creek's flexi that was "Terrified" on clear, if I'm not mistaken. I won't have a chance to stop by and pick up my stuff from the label until probably Tuesday afternoon. Excited to finally pick this up.
  10. Yeah, I didn't really like Darrell as the announcer either. It sounded too quiet or something. I guess it's hard to do the part after Don Pardo without just impersonating Don Pardo. Show is finally picking up in the second half of Weekend Update. Pete Davidson is funny.
  11. Last Gang has more copies of You're A Woman, I'm a Machine back on their webstore for anyone still looking.
  12. Got my notification email for pickup at Paper Bag's Toronto office. Can't wait to get my RAA coffee mug.
  13. Bill Hader hosting! Too bad it wasn't a little closer to Halloween and he could do a Vincent Price sketch.
  14. Found this video today. Maybe it can tide you over until the album drops in another two and half weeks.
  15. How the hell do you change your Google password from an Android phone? Do you actually have to remove and re-add the account?
  16. Rumour yesterday was that it would be Bill Murray.
  17. Looks like Bill Murray will be hosting the season premiere on September 27.
  18. Sounds cool. Definitely post an update when you're up and running. Whereabouts will you be located?
  19. If you've already mentioned to him that you were unhappy and considering other options then I would use a reminder of that to start the conversation. Thank him for the opportunities that the company has provided over your three year term but you've found an exciting new prospect and you want to see where it takes you. Wish him and the company all the best going forward. You might also have to submit something in writing? I hope your new place is actually giving you the time to do a proper two weeks notice. That would definitely help maintain a good relationship with your old workplace on the way out.
  20. Love that time of year. I take a sick day or two leading up to Halloween so I can stay home/up late watching horror movies.
  21. There is a guy at work who says "In reality..." in almost every conversation. We work in an engineering office. I would hope that we're not addressing issues in a far off fantasy land. I had always just assumed we were discussing reality.
  22. Sounds like you weren't too impressed by the person who interviewed you at the new company. After that experience, are you still interested in working for them? Would she be your supervisor? If you are still interested in jumping ship, then I - if I was in your position - would make up another excuse for my existing employer to attend the orientation to make sure everything really clicks. A doctor's appointment, dentist appointment, a "family situation", sick cat, or whatever. I don't know how many follow up questions get asked when you're telling them you can't come in, but it's probably minimal? Anyway, at this point you'd have the offer so you have one foot out the door at your existing employer and into your new place. There's always an emotional attachment to your employer when you've been there for a while but it's just business. Employees come and go and he should appreciate that you've already been honest about your intentions. It's hard but I wouldn't stress too much about something that hasn't happened yet. Worry about the offer if/when it actually happens. Good luck with whatever happens and whatever you choose!
  23. Maybe a silly question, but have you checked shipping direct from A&C? http://www.galleryac.com/music/bss-broken-social-scene.html
