  1. pretty dumb poll if you ask me. Obviously there are many votes for Rega RP1 and the Pro-Ject because they are well-received and widely popular beginner/intermediate turntables that are not too expensive and you can still enjoy your records. In general asking for "the best turntable" is quite hopeless anyway. Oh well.. I am still using my parents' old Dual turntable from the 70's and it's okay for my needs.
  2. I like the new song. After the first listen it's just your usual Beach Slang. Still eager to hear more.
  3. non-spotify link to the new song: http://noisey.vice.com/blog/beach-slang-bad-art-and-weirdo-ideas
  4. thanks, I'll let you know. Funds are a bit scarce at the moment anyway.
  5. very good looking! I think a lighter blue would have been even slicker, though! liked that Walleater record very much, going to see where in Germany it pops up at a reasonable price.
  6. Thank you for the feedback! I guess it will take another week or so until I receive my copy from the mailorder in Germany, here's to hoping the journey won't make the warping too bad.
  7. I'll say it again... insane number of great announcements at the moment. The trailer is cool.
  8. would be cool if you could make a small statement regarding the pressing/sound quality of this record. thank you! :-)
  9. I'm actually contemplating asking them if it's possible to exchange my pink variant with a black one. Of course, sound is definitely more important than the cover. BUT since the black ones are also being handled by the European plant, you might probably get both nice sound and the cool sleeve...
  10. It Is Curtains is definitely among my personal top 5 post-rock records of all time.
  11. just listened to "Cardinals" and I'm really digging it. I'm really not sure whether I can take a double LP of pop punk at once, would probably bore me. But this album definitely has my attention now, let's see what they come up with in the end.
  12. if that's the case, I'm more than fine with that. But as stated a few pages back, the "black deluxe" /500 version of US and EU will be the same and they will be manufactured in Europe. Therefore, the sound should be no different to the colored versions (since it's the same pressing more or less), PLUS you get the cool sleeve.
  13. still bummed the EU colored copies don't come with the embossing. I think I might just wait for it to arrive and if it sounds fine, I'll just stick with it. There will probably still be black copies available by the time of release I guess, because black vinyl.
  14. love this. also, the record itself is soooo good! A very sweet progression - even though not totally different - from Salad Days. I hope to receive my copy soon.
  15. oh, I'm sorry I could have just checked the BullMoose link. Thanks for the heads up! I stopped by my local shop today and they looked it up in the system (for the ThinkIndie distro) but couldn't find anything yet. Maybe Germany will be a bit later on this.
  16. edit: mesi was faster. the band recently put a pic up on their IG. Looks sweet if you ask me. Don't need a third variant though. https://instagram.com/p/5uss7zONXM/?taken-by=eeiwale
  17. yes, this is the case I guess. I will edit my post above.
  18. to be honest, the variant sounds rad, especially with the alternative artwork. But I just can't justify dropping even more cash on this, one variant is enough for me. By the way, if I got it right then we have reached a total count of seven different pre-order variants right now. I'll just leave this here.
