  1. The title says it all. I'm looking for the grass green and the baby blue/navy marble 3rd pressings of the Modern Baseball Sports record. DM me is you are selling or have a lead. Thanks!
  2. Hi! I know some of you are/were No Idea variant chasers, so just in case anyone is moving on from that, I thought I would throw this out there. I am looking for variants of Good Luck's Into Lake Griffy LP. I have several, but still need several others. From the first run: - yellow mix - milky - brown mix From the second run: - purple mix Actually, if someone just has a picture of the purple mix one, that would be helpful. I may have it already, but it's hard to tell some of these apart. Thanks!
  3. Looking for the minty green vinyl 3rd press of Chumped's Teenage Retirement LP (not the white one with green marbling). I'm up for buying a copy or can trade - I have a spare 1st press and a spare 2nd press of that record.
  4. If you end up having a line on one of these for the Afghan Whigs' In Spades record, please let me know...
  5. Throwing this out there in case anyone has a spare or wants to unload these. Some recent items I am looking to track down: - Allison Crutchfield - Tourist in This Town LP (magenta - Merge mail order exclusive) - Allison Crutchfield - Tourist in This Town LP (lavender - indie record store exclusive) - Katie Ellen - TV Dreams 7" (black vinyl) And for fun, here's my full want list of mostly-pipe-dream items. This, of course, is the trouble with nearing the finish line on a want list...if you have any leads on any of these please let me know. Fishbone - S/T LP - Philippines pressing (QCL-22199) - Modern Industry 12" - Philippines pressing (CE-EP-18047) The Fluid - Tin Top Toy 7" - red vinyl The Gaslight Anthem - Get Hurt LP - half red/half clear tour edition - The Gaslight Anthem 7" - 2015 45RPM Club release (Great Expectations/59 Sound live) Nirvana - Bleach LP (Sub Pop) - iceberg vinyl - Sliver 7" - red vinyl Pretty Girls Make Graves - By the Throat (silkscreened Los Angeles/Pomona tour sleeve) Rocket from the Crypt - Split 7" w/ Radio Wendy - Grey granite sleeve w/ glow-in-the-dark/black ink - Pure Genius 7" - red vinyl Rico Rodriguez - Wonderful World LP (Japan press) Seaweed - Measure 7" - pink marble The Skatalites - The Skatalite (Treasure Isle original) - Best of the Skatalite LP (Treasure Isle original with skil-screened sleeve) - Ska Au-Go-Go LP compilation (ND original) The Slackers - The Question 2xLP - color vinyl other than orange, sold during the 2013 holiday tour Tacocat - OMG tour cassette Tiger Trap/Henry's Dress - The Astronautical Music Festival 7" (Slumberland) - Pete Townshend sleeve V/A Ska Au-Go-Go LP (ND original) The Thing that Ate Floyd 2xLP - light blue marble vinyl The Thing that Ate Floyd 2xLP - red vinyl
  6. Good call - that one does indeed fit. Weirdly, I was working in an office with the bass player when that album came out.
  7. So...anyone want to help me dig deeper? I am looking for some new music and specific band recommendations. I have identified a formula in indie/punk rock that really works for me, and is present in a lot of the bands I really like. Basically, if a band's songs contain 1) a main, powerful, driving guitar line with 2) a secondary, often complex guitar line dancing around it, it is generally a recipe for success with me. This can take several forms: finger picking, slide guitar...sometimes the effect is even achieved by an additional instrument, like the horns in Rocket from the Crypt songs. Anyway, I am now looking for band recommendations that fit this formula, and would love your suggestions. Here are some examples of songs/bands that most closely demonstrate what I am talking about: 1. Archers of Loaf: - Underdogs of Nipomo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZuq-KPN1QQ - Fashion Bleeds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd2xPHOxMCE - Let the Loser Melt (the meat of the song, after it gets going) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdVyCw6jVSY 2. Pretty Girls Make Graves - mainly their second album: - The Teeth Collector https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfFyTNN2g8c - All Medicated Geniuses https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=al6tEB3onOg - Chemical Chemical https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9zUGVWv9ck - Something Bigger, Something Brighter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7FfGUXHSyQ 3. Good Luck - this is more in the pop punk realm, but it fits the description: - Public Radio https://wearegoodluck.bandcamp.com/track/public-radio - Hey Matt https://wearegoodluck.bandcamp.com/track/hey-matt - Come Home https://wearegoodluck.bandcamp.com/track/come-home - Man on Fire https://wearegoodluck.bandcamp.com/track/man-on-fire 4. Rocket from the Crypt - as discussed above, fits less directly into the formula, but the effect is there. - Killy Kill https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTzCxD4EMqo - If the Bird Could Fly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiVSUfTkyfM - Shucks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04mIVtJoJpE - Young Livers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s5H8PuOl8Q 5. The Afghan Whigs: - Honky's Ladder https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByRNASIBQ2Y - Summer's Kiss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5VG1WHETlQ - Uptown Again https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UV0L5r8Rw8w - Citi Soleil https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIJOFF3aPFI
  8. Has anyone gotten any recent leads on the Meters? A friend of mine has been after that one, but has come up empty.
  9. Ugh...so I went to see the Slackers last night, where they were supposed to have Redlight repress LPs, so I had held off on buying them. I stupidly did not see the detail that the color one would only be available by mailorder, and now they are sold out. Did one of you bought an extra copy that you would sell me?
  10. Ugh...so I went to see the Slackers last night, where they were supposed to have Redlight repress LPs, so I had held off on buying them. They only had the black. Apparently, the color one was only available online...but Pirates Press sold out yesterday. Oops. I don't suppose anyone here bought an extra that they could sell me (or know of a retailer that might be stocking them)? John
  11. I am looking to buy a copy of the white Slackers flexi that Rare Breed released as part of its box set. I would be interested in the whole box, but that is the one I am after.
