Depends on what you're looking for but the Ferndale shop that was mentioned is Found Sound, on 9 Mile & Woodward. Great overall selection. -
New Pre-Orders up at Castle Face
sinatra.45 replied to machine0a's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Not a preorder at the moment but a head's up... Thee Oh Sees will have a new 7" on February 12 for "Fortress". Here's an article on it along with the song. New album expected in the spring. Single sounds pretty kick ass. http://pitchfork.com/news/62384-thee-oh-sees-share-new-track-fortress/ -

So the new album supposedly has an early Devo sound to it and then the new video shows the whole band donning crazy ass masks which is also Devo-esque. I hope they do the tour in a similar fashion. Totally digging the direction they seem to be going with it. -

Vote for Eduardo and all your dreams will come true. All kidding aside, I agree with the sentiment. -

As far as I'm concerned, that Useless Eaters Live in SF should be indicted on first degree murder charges. -

The Vinyl Deals Thread (non-Amazon)
sinatra.45 replied to itsgoodtobefree's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
It looks like they are the middleman as I just received an email for my first order with them and it states: Fulfilled by DeepDiscount Ordered two Thee Oh Sees records and the new Kurt Vile album for $34 shipped. Not sure if it was posted earlier & I'm too lazy to look but the code JETCOMSAVE2 takes $25 off $50 or more plus anything over $35 gets free shipping. -
Looking to track down this album for a Christmas gift. There were four LP versions that were pressed in 1992. Any of them would work so long as the condition is VG+/VG+ or better. The Sundays - Blind

That show last night was awesome. Talked to Charlie Moonhart for a min or two. Really nice guy. Should have asked him how he ranks Segall's discography. -

That's bizarre and twisted. I totally dig it. Liking the extra marketing kick he's putting behind this release. -

Didn’t see a label thread for Mello Music Group, or any info on Semi Hendrix’s new album “Breakfast at Banksy’s”. For those unaware, Mello Music Group has been cranking out excellent hip hop albums for the past several years. A friend described them as being like the Castle Face Records for hip hop. A lot of great artists are featured but for me anything with Oddisee, L'Orange, Jeremiah Jae, Open Mike Eagle, and Apollo Brown has my attention. Like Lao Tzu in Hiphop, Mello Music Group provides music for the soul, from the heart of American culture, opening the realm of the intelligent Hiphop experience through melodic evocations, beats that corroborate the truth, and voices that roar above the rising void and impose order on the terrible & triumphant moments of everyday life. This is the compelling sound of Mello Music Group. http://www.mellomusicgroup.com/ MMG does a great job with vinyl releases with many of them colored editions that are in step with the album art work. Semi Hendrix's "Breakfast at Bansksy's", released yesterday, is a great example. Awesome hip hop album, heavy on the funk. Semi Hendrix is the acid inside the headband and the fork inside the electric socket. It’s hard-core hip-hop, furious voltage spiked with funk and soul. It’s political and street, cerebral and reckless. It’s Jack Splash and Ras Kass running roughshod over everything from economic inequality to racist government policy to your girl. The album title is Breakfast at Banksy’s. Consider it the rare soundtrack for the revolution and the party. I was going to call them today to find out if they are going to open the colored version up to online sales or if it's in store only. Their statement about the color version availability is somewhat ambiguous. https://www.goner-records.com/whats_new.php
