Picked up the white LP, really like the artwork (even if it's not gatefold).

Is that confirmed? I know it wasn't mentioned in the description, but that would be a disappointment.

Just saw an advance screening tonight and the soundtrack (along with the movie) is relentless. Not sure how well it would translate just listening to it on any given day, but it suited the movie perfectly. Looking forward to seeing what they have up their sleeves in terms of variants.

I got my Benny around 3am ET when they went on sale on a crappy 56k modem. They were still available the next day I believe.

That may be what Ten Clubbers want, but those albums would probably appeal to a greater demographic outside of the hard core fanbase.

What's more shocking is them not re-releasing anything between No Code - Avocado. That's where the real money is.

Yeah, I have the book and it's pretty hefty, but I didn't find it too obstructive to read on the TTC.

Got my copy yesterday at the release show and here's both sides of the record. The blue colour is supposed to be the colour of the sky on the cover if it wasn't black and white (according to Alex).

A few months ago I finally got around to asking for a replacement LB and they sent me a red, so they're still floating around if you want to go that route.

Nice, that's one of the few things I actually would have liked to have gotten.

I spoke to Jay of Sloan at their last Toronto show and he said that they had just begun the process of doing a deluxe boxset of One Chord to Another (with an album tour to follow). He said it's going to take a while to sift through the memorabilia and outakes/demos and decide what to include. He said roughly the end of this year or next year (for the 20th anniversary) is when we can expect it. He also mentioned that they'd like to do single-album reissues (not boxsets) of the out-of-print stuff, but that's still to be decided.

YES! Love Transistor Sound & Lighting Co. and wished they had released more music back in the day. For any I Mother Earth fans here, I spoke to Jag and Christian after a show here in Toronto back in January and they both said plans for vinyl releases of their catalogue are forthcoming, but they just need to work out some rights and licensing issues. Still looking for a few Sloan records to complete my set if anyone has extras, see my sig for the ones I'm looking for!

Out of curiosity, how can you tell it's a bootleg? From what I could see, the packaging looks exactly the same as the copy I bought from Kops.

Yeah, their pricing is a little weird. Was in there today and saw the European pressing of Songs for the Deaf by QOTSA was actually $15 cheaper than what I paid at Kops across the street a few weeks ago. Go figure.
