  1. Is there really no official thread for this yet? The band has been hinting about news coming out today. https://instagram.com/p/BBKzrb7i5w6/
  2. Interested in: AAR, White Pony, Dookie, Absolution & Origin of Symmetry, What's the Story Morning Glory, Billy Breathes, Shaggy Hotshot, Sublime. PM me separate prices as well as what you'd want for the lot.
  3. Bump. And update: looking for blue variant.
  4. So are the ones ordered from PMT red and Run For Cover are black? Or is this 2nd pressing going to all be black?
  5. I can't figure out why everyone hates Glow and Behold. It's just as good an album as their S/T if you ask me. And it sounds nearly identical. Soothe Me is a fantastic song.

  7. I know he doesn't like doing autographs. I tried to say hi and have him sign my copy of Siamese Dream after a show once and he just waved off myself and the small group of fans waiting for him and went straight to his ride. My childhood dreams of meeting him were shattered.
  8. Speaking of Elliott, if you're a fan check out the documentary Heaven Adores You. Just watched it a couple weeks ago and haven't been able to stop listening to his stuff now. Brilliantly sad story.
  9. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, y'all are being a bit overzealous. Nobody touches Elliott Smith. I'd go so far as to say perhaps Very Middle is influenced by Elliott. That's about it.
  10. Was anyone aware these (self titled) were pressed on black too? I bought one today thinking it was red, and was surprised when I got home. Especially because it was priced as if it was the limited red, at $30. Black is on the label's site for $18. Kinda pissed.
  11. Bandcamp link was in first post: https://marionprogram.bandcamp.com/album/very-middle
  12. Tired of people saying anything more than $8 is an expensive tape. In the 80s a tape was around that price and when you adjust for inflation it would be like $17. Tapes are dirt cheap right now. Mark my words they're going to gain popularity and price in the next 2 years. I recently bought a nice Nakamichi deck and was surprised at how good cassettes can sound with proper equipment, and have been grabbing lots of cassettes ever since. Plus I'd be willing to bet most people buying these demos cassettes don't even have a deck to play them on. Y'all silly.
  13. There's a store near me that has a good selection of new and used cassettes, and by the door they have a "take a mixtape leave a mixtape" shelf mounted. Pretty cool.
  14. I would ask about this on the AudioKarma or Tapeheads forums where they take this stuff seriously. I'd be interested too, just out of curiosity.
  15. Confirmed. I almost feel bad, they could at least have us pay shipping.
  16. Same here, both Dopamine and Ursa Major. I have a few albums like that though.
  17. I've got a mix ready to go. It'd be great for a fan of Cannibal Corpse, Insane Clown Posse, Creed, and Barbara Streisand. Just need an address. It'll probably arrive after the new year.
  18. Recently got a deck and have been on a cassette buying frenzy... A used music store near me sells cassettes for $2 apiece, went in and came out with a bunch of Goo Goo Dolls, Sugar Ray, REM, Temple of the Dog, Pear Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Depeche Mode, Collective Soul, etc. Like 20-25 cassettes for $40. On the way are: a few Smashing Pumpkins albums (Gish, Pisces Iscsriot, Adore, and a still-sealed Machina so I'm pretty excited about that), Cake - Fashion Nugget, Blink 182 - Enema, American Football, the Postal Service, Citizen - Youth, Kanye - Yeezus, and the Cure - Disintegration. It's gonna be a good week as this stuff shows up at my door
  19. Just sold mine for $45 on eBay, only because more are coming. If this was going to remain scarce I'd have kept it. If some goofball wants to give me nearly quadruple what I paid for it, sweet. Although I felt a little bad for them and threw in a sweet ass Pogolith sticker that came with the RSD Deja.
  20. Someone has yet to explain to me any downside to Will Yip producing an album. He's produced Title Fight, Turnover, Citizen, Superheaven, and more, all bands/albums that are generally loved in this community. As far as TSL, Say It Like You Mean It is a big part of my adolescence, but I'm not a fan of much that came after it. However I'm looking forward to what Yip does with their new music.
