Stay outta LA, especially residing there. I'd go more often if I could find a fucking parking space. Take heed and find a surrounding area to live in. A one hour commute isn't so bad. Try nice areas like Monrovia, Pasadena, Claremont, San Dimas, West/Covina, Arcadia, Glendora, etc. Those are nice places to live with plenty to do around. Some might be as expensive as LA but you'll find it more enjoyable to live in. I never really liked places south of Fullerton

Mondo would've been smart to jump on True Detective season 1. They could've had a fucking field day with the endless variations of artwork to make it a release to remember. I mean have you seen the fan art? Looks like something Mondo would draw up. Maybe a carcosa spiral on the vinyl? Shit. Take my paycheck.

It's an idea i've been toying around for years when I consider how much of my money goes into music (records, speakers, preamps, turntables, etc). Now that i'm going back to school to finish my BSME, its something I consider more and more. I'd been building my collection to pass down should I have kids one day, but life is so unpredictable. I know its essential for a lot of folks to get rid of theirs because of unemployment, babies, house payments, transportation, etc. But for those who don't have that necessity to sell, what would you do with the $$$? ps: you can't buy more records. I'd save half for tuition and use the other half and fly to Iceland and enjoy a fuckin hot dog (best in Europe I hear).
