So now this $600 rule won't kick in until next year, to give out K-1's in '24?

    https://www.cnn.com/2022/12/23/investing/irs-delays-threshold-increase-for-business-transactions/index.html

Happy it happened. I definitely didn’t sell as much this year bc I didn’t want to deal with this tax shit. So that’s annoying. But I’m assuming since they balked at the 600, the threshold will be higher so in the new year I should sell again. Not getting rich here Uncle Sam, just trying to keep my hobby funded!

I'm looking for band recommendations from the past 10 years that have a male singer.

I realized that any "newer" bands I like I'm gravitating towards women. Which is fine, I like it. But I'm deep in that swim lane and figure I'm missing out other bands. For instances, heavy in my rotation is Tristen, Chvrches, Snarls, Jetty Bones, L.A. Witch, Sonder Bombs, Squirrel Flower, Snail Mail, Bully, Spiritbox. The only semi-new band that has a male vocalist that I bought in the last six months is Bleachers. Anyone else is a legacy act from the 80s and 90s.

  3. An update! Just posted on Facebook:

Hello, friends. Downward is Heavenward vinyl is now available through our Polyvinyl Records webstore along with Inlet.
We hope to have Electra 2000 and You’d Prefer an Astronaut available there in the not so distant future. That project is taking a little longer than expected, but both of those records are moving forward and we will share more information when it’s available. We hope you all are healthy and well. Thank you.

Oh man, super stoked on this. Really curious to see who all is actually playing on this. The blurb mentions bringing in tour mates, friends and past members to play. JR of Less Than Jake already mentioned he played on the album,  which is definitely the first time even though he usually plays Hometown Throwdown each year.

There was multiple Instagram teases that Nate is back in the band. Hope that's true.

I’m surprised USPS took this.  I once saw a guy trying to mail a stack of dinner plates that were wrapped in butcher paper

I ordered 5 books off Facebook Marketplace. Took a month to show up. Thought it was because it was over the holiday. Nope. They were mailed in a McDonalds bag. I got one book and half the bag.

  6. The conversation about outgrowing their view is interesting to me. I've had the opposite experience. I did not enjoy them or their views in the 90s/early 00s. I saw them a bunch just by virtue of opening for someone else (Bouncing Souls mostly). I was young. I just wanted to have a good time and not be preached at. I didn't care about politics. I saw them on their last tour twice and realized there was an equilibrium of their views and my awakening (and age). Their albums are hit and miss for me.
