My luck is i'll order one of these, and then they'll do a signed record release edition in September. They did that with Underneath.
It's too bad they couldn't produce the full length "movie" to the album they had planned, I guess it got cut into separate music videos instead. I liked this video quite a bit.

Not necessarily upset I spent $55 on this.
 
I’m a bit perturbed that I spent $55 on this and homeboy still continues to pack records as if he’s a 13 year old incel that’s never bought a record, but just put out his SoundCloud rap/glitch/breakbeat digital hardcore record on vinyl, looked up how to ship from his internet bud on YouTube and bought a bunch of mailers from ULine.

I didn't get mad at Nothing for that last... thing. This is like a bargain by comparison lmao 

has anyone gotten this yet? i just got mine and please tell me i didn't pay $45 for a single sided LP and a 7". 

This is bullshit.  Describing meticulously placed mics, tuned drums and guitars, amps, preamps, all insinuate actual music.  The easy swap of the band name stylized in all lowercase letters with the actual word “nothing” is also deceptive.
 
They knew what they were doing and it was sneaky as fuck.  It has absolutely ruined me taking any chances on this band’s releases now.
 
The moment I spun this and found out what it was I listed it on eBay and luckily recouped my money.   

Sonic and subsonic literally mean "sound" and "no sound". That isn't clear at all when the following sentence says the band is in a room with mics on all their instruments on the surface (or sonic) level with another (subsonic) experiment hidden on second groove. I don't think people should be all that mad but don't defend this either lol.
 
If it was so obvious why didn't you tell us all what it was? You were posting around the drop time.

Haha, no kidding.  Hoping for some reissues too.  I like LoM quite a bit, but not enough to pay after market prices.

Even with that description and Lucier reference, I don't know who really expected this. I just don't think they have the artistic credibility to justify a blind left turn on their fans like this. It's not like we've followed them down a road of twists and turns to get here. I've spent tons of money supporting this band in all ways and am feeling duped. And most of the records I buy are experimental/ambient/drone/etc.!
 
It's not the point, but I don't see these holding any value give the list price and pressing quantity either. But I'm keeping it since I'm sure no one else wants it!

I don’t think I’ll be opening mine when it arrives. Might sell it after a while. They’re one of my top fav bands, but the fact that this was, arguably, sneakily worded as a special album of unreleased music… “Well they never said it was new songs!!” Fair enough, but $60 is $60 that I could have spent on many other things. We waited like 7 months to get a vinyl with “nothing” on it lol.

If anyone wants to buy my copy, hit me up.  $50 shipped  in the States (I paid $56).

The music is literally the hum of instruments being turned on for the majority of the a-side.  Towards the end of side A you hear some harmony notes from a non-descript instrument.  Kinda sounds like strings but a little more electronic.
 
Side B is basically the same but at lower volume. 
 
the 10 page booklet is literally 5 pieces of blank black paper, folded in half, and stapled to make a 10 page book.   If there’s anything written on it, it’s in invisible ink or something.

Whirr is the best shoegaze band in the past decade. Gloss was a a band for less than a year that nobody listens too anymore because their music sucked.

I always think that too lol, no shade, I just can't even imagine buying variants. One is enough for me, maybe 2 if it's significant enough to me. Between vinyl and botique movie collecting, I gotta keep spending at a minimum.

As someone who makes a pretty decent living...how are you guys ordering so many records and still surviving/saving any money for the future?
