  1. If the banana plugs don't work, take off the banana plugs. Also, your cables driving your speaker choice is really messed up.
  2. Thanks for that. Snapped up both Atriarchs and the Indian repress for like $30.
  3. I like Sigur Ros so I found similar bands on this thing called the internet. It was EPIC.
  4. Exchanging mine w/ Music Direct. (Everyone w/ issues should at least let their seller know, lest labels think it's ok to release sloppy pressings.)
  5. Phish is not playing 3 hours of tight tunes though. They fill a lot of it their spacey wankery where people leave and get beer or sit around smoke weed or whatever.
  6. Mine definitely has a yellow tint, but no "streaks". They probably get clearer the later in the run that they were pressed.
  7. I've got heavy static at the beginning of side B. Can't be coincidence. (And it has been VPI-cleaned.) Pressing # is ~2300.
  8. "Splatter", by its very definition, is imperfect.
  9. Yup. It was awesome. Good to see Yob without the constraints of being an opener. BC brought the thunderous rhythms. Highly recommended if you get a chance to catch the tour.
  10. Yob merch report: • 3-4 t-shirt designs, all killer. $20 ea. Stuff I hadn't seen yet. • "Clearing the path" hoodie. • LP's, $25/ea: Clearing the Path... , Catharsis, Great Cessation, Atma • Trucker hats, stickers, etc.
  11. Snapped up a Yob ticket. Also Windhand in 2 weeks. FALL OF DOOM.
  12. Snagged the VPI 16.5 I asked about in the cleaning thread. Best spinny vacuum box ever!
  13. Yeah the only dilemma was that I've seen Yob relatively recently (on the Enslaved tour) and DH seems like they'd be a fun show. But once factoring in the supporting acts for each (Tribulation? Easy pass.), the locations (large music hall vs. smallish dive bar), and the crowd type, I figure it comes up Yob. Also, while I find DH enjoyable, it's mostly because their musical aesthetics fall in line with a lot of bands I like, but don't find them to be as terribly deep or rich as most do.
  14. Deafheaven and Yob with conflicting shows this Saturday. Think I gotta go Yob.
  15. They are called "Conan". I mean, I love them, but I'm not expecting high-brow art – they're 3 dudes that play songs about medieval shit while wearing hoodies.
