  1. A long run of shelf without dividers can be a pain for refiling or flipping through. I'd recommend some large metal (library-style ) bookends to help subdivide.
  2. This is painful. Clicking on any of the items just sends me back to the homepage. ETA: now they're not even showing :/
  3. Messa, Deathbell, Octopus all have new releases that I've been digging. https://deathbelldoom.bandcamp.com/releases https://messa666.bandcamp.com/album/feast-for-water
  4. http://www.mylenesheath.com/products/the-four-trees-2xlp eta: (just in case no one dips into the album thread)
  5. Out for delivery. If it actually show up today in this blizzard it will be perfectly appropriate.
  6. Good news everyone! ATIH now has media mail option, and there's a 25% discount with "coloradoorbust". (Finally scored that Weedpecker.)
  7. Yeah who would ever make an MDF plinth.
  8. Yeah I may get in on this too. Let us know when there's a drop-dead date.
  9. Anyone have any merch intel from the Conan tour?
  10. $9 shipping and no media mail option? Good reminder why I never order from them.
  11. Found one of their albums on Spotify, buried under a band with the same name... They have a great sound.
  12. Right, but everyone buying one knows that. Or at least I hope so. (I've had good scores from Relapse and Mylene Sheath)
  13. Ok, where do I start in Enslaved's catalog if I want to best enjoy them live in a couple weeks?
  14. Spun the Parlour last night. Pretty interesting stuff, reminds me of a vocal-less Pinkish Black. It'll grow on me. Guess I was lucky to get Inventions, which I had never heard but was instantly hooked.
  15. Man that new Weedpecker really needs some US distro.
  16. Never made it to this fest but always wanted to. Maybe this year.
  17. Yeah I work in the retail design field. A big part of what we do these days is take defunct B&M retail spaces and turn them back into revenue-generators. Think all the big names in stores that are closing up all over the country. That said, what most people have already chimed in about is true. You don't want to start a record store. You want to create a gathering/community spot that also sells records. You're gonna have to figure out what the real revenue is going to come from (coffee/beverages/snack, local arts/crafts, performances, whatever) if you're going to get this thing rolling. It can work, but I wouldn't even approach it from the start as a "record store" in any traditional sense.
