  1. I think the relationship is a little more complicated than that. My recent popmarket order came from the same address and the same packaging as the others you have mentioned. There are other Amazon and Ebay dealers as well, like 'moviemars'. I believe there is a warehouse and a shipping facility there, whatever you want to call it. I think that the various dealers are competitors of one another but share access to a common inventory list that is published and updated in something approaching real time by the distributor. This business model dates back to the early days of Amazon and Ebay, when big DVD dealers (like Ebay's glacierbaydvd, the original big user of this model and now bankrupt and long gone, and moviemars) tried to become the biggest dealers on Ebay but didn't actually buy any inventory until they had a customer's order in hand. Back then the inventory technology was not available in real time and there was a huge backlash from customers of both Ebay and Amazon against sellers who couldn't fulfill orders. Nowadays I suspect the interface between dealer and wholesaler is much more robust and accurate.
  2. I think we'll see it again. I went back and the first Flaming Lips appeared and sold 4 days ago. They have put it up many times since then, especially today: here is when they went up (all times PST): Flaming Lips posted at these times (PST) since February 8: Feb-12 17:06 Feb-12 15:33 Feb-12 14:19 Feb-12 13:16 Feb-12 11:50 Feb-12 10:25 Feb-12 09:10 Feb-12 07:52 Feb-12 06:40 Feb-12 05:49 Feb-12 04:15 Feb-12 03:30 Feb-12 01:55 Feb-12 00:54 Feb-12 00:16 Feb-11 21:59 Feb-11 20:39 Feb-11 20:29 Feb-11 18:52 Feb-11 15:30 Feb-09 23:38 Feb-08 16:41
  3. These three deals are back up on EBay again now. Eric Clapton $36.12, Day-of-the-Dead $31.38, Flaming Lips 'Heady Nuggs' $13.38. It looks like the excitement has died down a little - the offers have all been up for 15 minutes now without being sold out: Eric Clapton Studio Collection 'Day Of The Dead' Tribute 10-LP box Flaming Lips 'Heady Nuggs'
  4. Day of the Dead is gone. There is a single Ebay buyer who is buying up every one of the available LPs in each of these cheapie listings the instant they go up this morning. I do not know his name but he has a feedback rating of 5560. I guess he's a dealer of some kind?

  6. I don't own the record, but some, or all of the lyrics are sung in German, not in English. It actually sounds kinda cool, as I remember!

  11. I agree that this is great music at a great price, but I'm pretty sure it has been this price for quite a while now. I don't think you have to decide tonight if you need to buy this item immediately today.
  12. Has Popmarket gone belly up or anything? 1) Their website is down indefinitely. 2) They have not replied to three emails sent to them since late January, other than with an automated reply that they are backed up. FYI I have a problem with an order I placed with them in late January.

  20. The Copia colored is showing sold out for me on the TR website directly, but I followed the slyvinyl link and they accepted my order. There may be a number that is put aside for slyvinyl referrals? https://slyvinyl.com/genres/pop/eluvium-copia-limited-edition-of-500-marbled-aquamarine-2000-black-vinyl-2xlp
  21. Amoeba's store in Hollywood has about 20 of both the new album and Careless (both black) in stock for $18.98 each. FYI.
  22. I know this is expensive, but Amazon Italy shows 2 in stock. Price with shipping to the USA is $172.
  23. I am finding better prices on Amazon.co.uk all the time for a lot of what I buy. For example: the new Noveller is $22.99 with Free Prime Shipping on USA amazon.com (I live in California), but my sales tax puts the total up to $24.70 or so. By contrast, the LP is $19.66, including shipping and without sales tax, from the Amazon.co.uk site. (The UK MP3 download won't work for me, though, but I don't usually use them). Thanks for the heads-up on Noveller!
