  1. I love MF Doom, but I don't love him enough to skip buying groceries. 12 inch single for a hundred bucks? Yeesh. You could pick up the complete herbs releases from VMP for less than that. You could pick up all three VMP Doom rereleases for less than that. You could buy some groceries with that.
  2. I saw the mobile, rolling, TMR record store truck thingy last night at the Jack White show in Pittsburgh. Pretty underwhelming. A food truck with a menu of vinyl I've been able to purchase online forever and few pieces of merch that were also available within the show. To be fair, maybe they have some exclusive stuff at times. But they didn't at around 6pm last night. Free tote bag if you spend $100!
  3. I love the Main Source album. I'd never listened to them. If you're into ATCQ or De La Soul, you'll love them.
  4. Agreed. Bet Ain't Worth the Hand is alright. There are some horns, but the feel of the first album doesn't seem to be there.
  5. Any idea what makes the RSD Car Seat Headrest release different from the pressing available on Amazon and elsewhere? Edit: Ohhhh.... so the RSD release is the original from when he was 19, and the releases on Amazon and elsewhere are the updated reworked versions?
  6. "This video contains content which has been blocked in your country on copyright grounds." (Sigh)
  7. Agreed and disappointed. I'd really like them, but that's too much. Maybe they'll reissue them, the dealsonvinyl guy will post to the Amazon Deals thread, and I'll get them for like $11 each.
  8. From Rather Ripped Records in Brookline, PA: Led Zeppelin - IV Crosby, Stills, & Nash - CSN Wynton Marsalis - Trumpet Concertos Tina Turner - Private Dancer From Thrift Store: Jackson 5 - ABC/The Young Folks From Half Priced Books in Pittsburgh, PA: Animal House - Soundtrack Dave Brubeck Quartet - Countdown: Time in Outer Space Thanks to VC Amazon Deals Thread: Radiohead - The Bends - RE 180gram From Vinyl Me Please: Guru - Jazzmatazz Volume II (The New Reality)
  9. "This swap does not include a cocktail recipe are an art print." I only get a record? Sheesh.
  10. I started on a Crosley, and the OP said this was a "starter turntable." I get it. I learned to hate my Crosley as well. However, venting about the lacking merits of Crosley on here sort of deserves the cats with lightsabers and dancing Shaq memes. This has become one of my favorite threads.
  11. Would've been nice if they just released the two (album and sessions) together as a deluxe edition. Meh. Maybe they'll have a box for 10 bucks that you can put both of them into.
  12. Search eBay. There are usually a couple copies up for grabs. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR10.TRC0.A0.H0.Xsongs+for+the+deaf+vinyl.TRS0&_nkw=songs+for+the+deaf+vinyl&_sacat=0
  13. Nice box, great picture sleeves, and 4x 10" for $22. Reissue, Remastered Trying to encourage my wife to listen to records
  14. I also swapped for Guru successfully. Guru is limited to 2000 (I think). Is it possible that many folks swapped? That'd be nuts.
  15. It's odd that there are 160 sold when it's preowned. Where did this seller get 160+ used headphones? And the condition listed for them kind of scares me. I get it. They're operable, and the damage is cosmetic. But I don't want to roll the dice on a huge gash in the side of something I'm regular going to wear on my head. Do you have any idea what's up these deals? I appreciate you sharing.
  16. If you're still angry that you missed the Guru Jazzmatazz Vol 1 from VMP, you can pick up a standard copy (not VMP edition) on Amazon for $9.89 right now. Not a bad price. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HF1PI62/ref=as_li_ss_tl?_encoding=UTF8/?&linkCode=sl1&tag=a2t-vinyl-20&linkId=523192548214e1829fb224405fca9578
  17. I just finished Theft by Finding: Diaries by David Sedaris. Simply put, if you enjoy Sedaris, you'll like it. The most intriguing aspect for me was the progression of his career, but I also looked forward to significant dates in history to see if he'd comment on the event. Now, I'm reading the Trump book by Wolf and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. They have some eerie similarities.
  18. I just watched the Ninjago movie. It's horrid. Stick to the actual Lego sets.
  19. To say the Pirates have betrayed me or any of their fans by trading McCutchen and Cole is incorrect. Any Pirate fan has been through this before. Over and over again. Decades of rebuilding. They didn't betray us. The Pirates did exactly what they've done for the past almost thirty years. I think the glimmer of hope due to the couple wild card appearances recently made the current deconstruction of the team sting a little more. Of course the Pirates traded away their best. Nutting, the owner, doesn't want to win. He wants to make money. And this deconstruction stung enough that I'm not giving any more money. I'm heading to some minor league games this summer instead. They have cheaper beer too. Venting over. Thanks for reading.
  20. I love the no phone policy. When I see a massive amount of the crowd recording or taking pictures, I always wonder how often people go back and watch the videos or look at the pictures. Probably not that often. Put your phone in the bag and relax.
  21. Tom Waits - Blood Money - Remastered Repress for $11 from Amazon. Best deal I've gotten from Amazon in a while.
