Loved Mess and the direction they took. Can't wait for this.

Doesn't make sense to want to get the 'definitive' version of these albums in people's hands and then sell out without any of them actually making their way to indie shops or larger distributors. I'll take the shitty store staff's answer with a grain of salt... and a bit of worrying.

When compared to Fiona and Gorillaz, it's "guitary"... and hey, don't shoot the messenger. Take it over to the VMP boards that have it as a toss-up between those two.

Seems to be a toss up between the new Phoenix and Kevin Morby... 'guitary' + new release are the main clues.

Yeap, I'm sure a ton of waitlist people grabbed them up, as well as Crate and member who like to swap out until they hear about the record quality.

While VMP has its' warts, the one thing they do fairly well is ensure their membership gets first dibs on everything. 1 exclusive per person has really helped ensure this is the case. Want a copy? Join the club. Otherwise, I think it's only fair that those who pay their monthly dues as members get first access. As for FF, I think I'm going to cave on pure FOMO... I'm not hearing great things about this album (good things, but not GREAT) so I'm sure I'll regret it later but when on Rome's crashing webstore...

I only use VMP's curated section for indie and other variants I have a hard time tracking down elsewhere (or where shipping is stupid expensive) FF Update: Just above 300 copies, should be gone by tonight. Another note, if you signed on for DD on the wait list and want Fiona, looks like there is a solid ~900 in stock in the past ROTM section. EDIT: Removed part about monthly subs as I currently don't see them...

I really want to hear Noga before committing as the single tracks could lead to the record never leaving my table, or never being taken out of its' outer again. I may just have to leave with FF for now.

It's an awesome variant, but there wern't 500 available as it was part of an app promo about 6 months ago. I bet they had less than 300, hence why it flew. FF down to about ~650

Surprised it went that fast given it's not a rare record to find, just a neat colour variant.

Yeap, they confirmed this morning that it will ship with your June AOTM.

I don't believe it's their members that are crashing it. Due to the late announcement of the FF exclusive, I bet there were a ton of people who AREN'T member trying to buy copies. As someone else mentioned, they didn't even see this type of traffic spike with DD and Fiona.

I think you guys are ok for a bit, I can't sign-in or get to the FF release either. Sounds like none have been sold since 12:05EST so just hold tight.

As was stated on the VMP boards as well, pretty sure this is due to a bunch of FF fans trying to grab the album but not being a member. Just remember that you gotta sign-up to get the exclusives...
