  1. Appreciate the heads up. That's some steep shipping though.
  2. This is another Megadeth album I've never heard a good version of on vinyl.
  3. I had that very thought for one brief, puckering moment when I first opened the glorified envelope it arrived in.
  4. Thanks! I know the repress is going up Wednesday, but I want that black version. This is the best price that I've seen so far. Much appreciated.
  5. Anybody have a line on where a fella might pick up a reasonably priced Big Trouble in Little China retail (black) variant ?
  6. Was the Yung Bae drop the other night limited to one per person or was it a catch as catch can situation?
  7. I enjoyed it as well. I think the unintentional, or perhaps unavoidable, part that's being discussed here is the leveling issue. Whether or not that's liveable is just a matter of taste, but it definitely isn't a stylistic choice. Though it may be an unintentional byproduct of one. Either way, if you're on your second or third different version of Halloween, I'd imagine you're fairly excited about this one.
  8. It is not your table; literally every copy has the dropouts. And the orange will only be different from the splatter is they made a different master and cut new stampers for it which there is very little chance of having happened. It has nothing to do with the wax. All that said, these issues aren't insurmountable to me. I have a VS copy and the original Mondo 2xLP reissue (with the intentional dialog) from the expanded CD so this still offers me a different presentation of the score with new music in a new order and from a legitimately unique source. Under my own personal circumstances, I'm actually quite happy to have it even if I think they could have perfected it a bit more.
  9. This is a mastering issue, not a pressing issue. It happens a few times over the course of the LP. If you listen loudly/closely, those dips in sound are accompanied by very faint dialog and/or sound effects from the film. This was purportedly taken from the film's "mono stems" but it sounds like they had some issues with the other tracks bleeding through.
  10. That stinks. Two headed dog get seriously mixed reviews. Some folks seem to have a sparkling relationship with them and others, well, not so much. I've had a little bit of both, but never anything this dire.
  11. Wait, isn't this artwork by the guy who drew all the original comics? That's hilarious.
  12. So how many of these eight (or is it nine?) TMNT variants is everybody getting?
  13. Anybody going to the LA show on 10/31 that might want to hook a fellow up with a red tour variant of this bad dad? The fellow would provide payment in advance of course. And I can vouch for him as both solid and reliable. PS - Full disclosure: I am the aforementioned "fellow".
  14. Jim at Voodoo is legit. That said, he can't control if he gets screwed over by a distributor or label, but your money is safe there. Mine always has been.
  15. Maybe. But with how long this took to sell out, what am I gonna be able to flip my extras for realistically? Not looking good.
  16. Sure, but some have. Perhaps he only has control over some of his catalog.
  17. Agreed. The Glitterbox reissues of Ambient 2 and Fourth World 1 are both quite good. Though I'm still puzzled as to where this notion that Harold Budd might be standing in the way of a reissue is coming from. Is there an interview or article to indicate this? I'm not trying to pick a nit; I'm genuinely curious. I've seen it written on other forums as well and it just seems like such an odd notion. He hasn't stood in the way of any of the previous reissue series over the years. His own solo material has been reissued. Don't get me wrong, it's not impossible, but barring new information it seems highly unlikely.
