actually... new issue. when i would just try to tune in the radio it was just as quiet as when i tried to play a record on the record player. so does a preamp help this? or is it my receiver?

So I got a new record player today and brought down a receiver from my parents house and when i hooked the speakers up to it it comes out real quiet. My old record player i used to have had built in speakers, so that wasnt an issue. but yeah.. can anyone help me figure this out? do I need something to power it up?

no my goods came in with me, and hung out with some NYHC peeps for most of the night but for real, people were pretty rude at the show. Normal show etiquette didn't work that night... yeah, there were a TON of people from Pittsburgh and a handful of girls that I know were there up front screaming "PITTSBURGH!!! WOOOO!!!! GO STEELERS!!" for the first 3 or 4 songs, than Tegan (or sara?) walked up to them between songs, bent down and pretty much said "please stop, you're being abnoxious and if you look around, no one around you really is enjoying your yelling, so please stop". it pretty much ruled.

top 3 album of 2007 with out a doubt. The Con is near flawless in my opinion.

my 5 records green day - dookie - 6th grade I think? wow. haha, changed my life from there on. nirvana - teen spirit - got hit by a car riding my bike listening to that CD in 1997. last time I ever listened to nirvana. last time i ever listened to grunge actually. hot water music - live at the hardback - record changed my outlook on so many things for some reason. I think it was the sheer intensity of that live recording that for some reason just really hit home. That and my friend jon asked me if I wanted to go to that show before I was really into HWM and I turned it down because it was a 20+ hr drive and I was in high school. now I kick myself for not going. punchline - rewind EP - I dont think it changed my life so much as it was a soundtrack to I think 18 months of my life in 2003 - 2004. I just realized it this morning when I listened to it on my way to work, but so many memories and old friends are tied to that album. so good. bad religion - stranger than fiction - this tied with green day transformed me into who I am today. I think those two records "ruined my life", haha
