  1. Stumbled upon it, A.) looking for a new forum to join. as well as B.) a thread/message board pertaining information regarding Waxwork Records.
  2. Fair enough - I can see some differences, but not enough to care. However, by that logic, I can certainly see how a subb'r would be miffed! haha
  3. Was there more blue in the ash variant? I guess I'm not sure I saw the actual Sub version next to the Ash variant, and the ones I did see - looked similar.
  4. yeah, I suppose that makes sense. Also Via the readings on the WW fanclub page on FB - there were subscriber variants already on Fleabay for $100+
  5. I landed an Ash variant. I also noticed there's no limit on Ash variants, but only 230 Delta 88 variants. Wonder if that's reactive of The Thing?
  6. So there's also a handfull of disclaimers now too. "This item is a new pre-order that will ship in approximately eight weeks. Please limit two (2) copies of the Deluxe "Ice" variant per customer. Orders over two (2) copies will be refunded within 24 hours. " Is it fair to assume the "first" preorder from Monday will ship before that? The prefix "new pre order" seems to seperate the two pressings, and I'm assuming it would be an earlier date.
  7. I read a comment on FB that made me LOL; "I'm holding out for that 3rd pressing"
  8. As does Light In The Attic http://lightintheattic.net/releases/2975-the-thing-1982-original-soundtrack
  9. Sweet - the setup I have was gifted to me from my mother in law. She purchased both new in 1978. Still have the original boxes. The table works great, except I have to monitor it, as the arm doesn't automatically drop anymore i have to manually set it - nor does it pickup and retract without skating it's way back across the record - the small crescent shaped guide piece had broken off - but I've learned to deal with it.
  10. To be honest, I understand all the frustration, but they did send out multiple notices stating they'd be releasing today. Historically most major releases by WW have been done so between the hours of 11-12pm cst - and it should have been expected that this release would have yielded extremely high interest, with limited availability. The price of the original LP in all its variations is indicative of that. With that being said - I don't agree with purchasing of multiple copies to turn and gouge on eBay- that's atrocious. I scored one of each variation (one for myself, and one for my brother) around 11:05ish am because I knew it was going to drop today, and well aware of the aforementioned popularity/demand behind it. I refreshed several times to see how long they'd last - they sold out about 15-20 mins later - but there was ample time to purchase - In my humble opinion anyways. I too would have been irritated, had it been me, but some of the folks on their FB page are pretty ruthless.
