New Audio Karate 7” from Iodine. First new recording in almost 20 years. Pressing info is: 100 Orange Crush (Noise Cult Edition) 200 Red 250 Black California’s melodic-punk outfit Audio Karate return with their first studio recording in almost twenty years! The band reunited in early 2018 following the reissue of their two classic LPs “Space Camp” and “Lady Melody”. They later released two albums worth of previously unreleased material on “Malo” and “¡Otra!” and got back on the road for festival appearances and playing with the likes of punk legends Descendents and other old friends. The band quickly realized that playing together was an important part of their lives, and they went into the studio to record the new song “A Show of Hands” in 2022, while also re-recording their song “A Monster in Disguise”, adding some much needed production work, making it feel more complete and powerful. This limited edition 7-inch EP is being presented by Iodine Recordings, which includes beautiful artwork by Jeff Caudill (Gameface), photography from the studio and recent tour dates, and was mastered by Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor, Jeff Rosenstock). These songs showcase the power, and precision of Audio Karate’s song writing, which masterfully strikes a balance of hyper-melodic punk rock, emo, and post-hardcore. did anyone else notice that the newbury pressing on the wax bodega is listed as 400. but when newbury announced it, it says 300. since the cloudy blue has sold out, I was going to get the newbury.. but hmm..

I am and have been a De La fan my whole life.. and def have most of the LP2 and LP3 and a bit of the first and 4th LPs memorized and I'd say that it's little things mostly. A small sample here or there. I did catch something on De La is dead that sounded like the re recorded a sample, instead of taking it out. but it was a really small thing. (I just noticed it and was like. "wait, that sounded different (or weird).."

haha I am sure we have more than that. (my shop did the show exclusive for their last big NYC show..) I got the test and a pink LP. however I realized they released a split single yesterday and missed the most limited version of that. damn. anyone have any idea what and when the limited "orange - welcomes" come out. those are limited to only 50. I am wondering about those.
