  1. '3218' by Serbian synth artist Isidor is finally coming to vinyl. For those not familiar, this album is a true synth gem and was picked as Iron Skullet's #1 synthwave album of 2017. https://qrates.com/projects/15664-3218

  3. Just a heads up that 'Venting' by Five Bolt Main is finally getting the vinyl treatment! It's in "funding" mode right now and at least 100 need to be reserved for it to get pressed, but for a title like this I doubt that's going to be a problem. It just went up a couple days ago. Available here
  4. Here's the post from Chris Volz verifying its legitimacy....just in case there was still any doubt that it was "official'
  5. This is as official as it will get for this title. It's being released under license from Noble Steed Music, they own the masters and control the publishing. Noble Steed acquired the rights after Rock Ridge dissolved, certainly isn't being done without permission from the rights holders.
  6. Conceptually, the album was written with the idea to create a soundtrack that could have been used in an 80's anime space opera; inspired by cartoons, video games, and movies, it has a wide array of influences to create an audible escape into a multi-layered musical world. In said world, you will find some of the best electric guitar work to ever grace the synth scene. This album definitely shreds, and in more ways than one! Will be limited to approx 100 copies worldwide. Wolf and Raven - 'Ace of Space' 2LP

Anyone know if that Durand Jones 7" will be sold by itself? I wanted to get the bundle, but because of the contents they can't ship media mail so with the shipping it's a bit high to justify. I have the original pressing...I just want that 7" and not have to pay $35 for it haha On another note...these just landed the other day. Limited to 100 copies and there are a limited amount left, along with some test pressings. Free shipping to USA using code BROCKFAN

  9. This went live about a week ago. If you like electronic fueled funky grooves, then this is for you. Artwork by Mizucat...bonus! Cut at 45rpm and mastered for vinyl from the original 24-bit mixes. Pressing will be limited to the amount of orders received. https://qrates.com/artists/SofaKingVinyl/items/14887

The 'Girls On Bikes' vinyl EP from Opus Science Collective (OSC) went live the other day on Qrates and it's over half-way toward the pressing goal of 100 already. It will be a 45rpm pressing mastered from the original 24-bit mixes. If you don't know about this EP, it is amazing. It also has artwork by Mizucat! A mixture of synthwave, electro-funk, and chiptune. There are tracks to listen to here. https://qrates.com/artists/SofaKingVinyl/items/14887
  11. Another album from 20SIX Hundred is making its way to vinyl and will be limited to approx. 100 copies (71 already gone as of this posting). Mastered for vinyl from original 24-bit mixes and exclusive album art. Shipping to most countries is $6 or less! https://qrates.com/artists/SofaKingVinyl/items/14817
  12. That wording about the hypothetical minutes of grooves was taken from a different website called "Classic45s", but I totally get what you are saying. The person who originally wrote that probably exaggerated but it's just thrown in there to make a point about 45RPM cuts having better sound (which I think we can all agree is true). The wording about most audiophile pressings selling for $40 is probably generally true, but granted it probably wasn't necessary to put that on there. The people who want this record will buy it because they want it, not because it's a "good deal". There was probably just a lot of excitement to get the campaign up that there was too much focus on trying to "sell" it, if you know what I mean.
  13. Interesting. I hear a lot of people say good things about GZ. They actually offer both DMM and Lacquer options per the website. The feedback from the label's first release has been all positive from what I've seen. It's the same plant Blood Music uses from what I understand, didn't they sell a whole bunch? But...then again they have a pretty big built in audience.
  14. Giving this 2LP / 45RPM one a bump. I'm actually shocked that it's stagnant at 53 sold out of the necessary 200, especially with those low international shipping rates (but, there is also 46 days left so who knows). Maybe it was posted too late in the game? I really want this one to happen because it's a 2LP/45RPM on black vinyl and not colored vinyl. Sure, colored vinyl is pretty and usually sounds decent but black has the best sound overall and many legit plants say that on their websites - like on Furnace's FAQ page. I also confirmed with a mastering engineer that masters never have to be "re-mastered for 45" - such a thing just doesn't exist. Hoping this one happens - because it's a legit audiophile release (will be pressed by GZ Media). https://qrates.com/artists/SofaKingVinyl/items/14771
  15. This went up yesterday as a funding project and the goal of 100 copies has already been exceeded, but orders are still being taken. It's a tribute to David Cassidy and all proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Foundation. More info at https://qrates.com/artists/SofaKingVinyl/items/14834 For those who aren't familiar, Ken Sharp is an L.A. based singer/songwriter with four acclaimed albums to his credit, the single was written on the day Cassidy passed away and recorded and mixed in marathon speed. 'I Wanna Be David Cassidy' received its worldwide premiere on November 26, 2017 on renowned DJ Rodney Bingenheimer’s radio show on Sirius XM’s “Underground Garage” the day after it was finished.

The Next Level by 20SIX Hundred is now up for pre-order here. It just got announced the other day, so far 58/100 have been claimed.

Too bad that Brown Sabbath Vol. II is sold via the band and not the label. That would be a sweet discount.
  18. Honestly, probably the 2LP 45RPM release via Sofa King Vinyl that is currently being funded via Qrates. 200 need to be sold for the pressing to happen. If you care about the best sound, I'd go for that one. It will be pressed by GZ Media if successful (same plant Blood Music uses, I believe) but cut at 45 RPM for higher fidelity. Plus, the shipping is super cheap if outside the USA.
  19. "It will be pressed from the 24-bit vinyl masters." So the vinyl master is being cut up into four files instead of the two originally provided.

...and 'The Rise Of The Synths' Official Companion Album is also up on BullMoose. Most likely standard black "retail version", not the purple "collector's edition" version that sold out via Lakeshore's site. http://www.bullmoose.com/p/25904937/rise-of-the-synths-official-companion-album

  24. SOUL, FUNK, and BLUES Record Thread

Well, this isn't an old classic album or something with boobies on it....but it's still something that I think should definitely be shared here. I haven't posted in this thread yet...but I absolutely LOVE the Blues and thanks to @ColemineRecords I have a new fascination for Soul as well. I wanted to let you all know that the album by Brock Davisson and Friends called 'Outtakes From The Soul' is getting a vinyl release. For those who aren't aware of who Brock is, he is a phenomenal Blues guitarist who just happens to be confined to a wheelchair because of club foot and dwarfism. This 2015 album apparently landed on the Billboard Blues album charts, but this will be its first (and possibly only) vinyl release. https://qrates.com/artists/SofaKingVinyl/items/14561 Here's a video so you can see his chops. This guy is so inspiring! His style reminds me a bit of Jeff Healey.
  25. BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!! Sevendust's self titled coming to vinyl (finally) for 20th anniversary. 2LP on neon yellow vinyl. Based on the fact there is only a few songs per side, it may actually be cut at 45 rpm! https://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/sevendust-debut-album-vinyl
