  11. Well, we just had our baby over the weekend, so my show-going is likely done for the year. But this is who I've seen since my last check-in back in June: Bryan Adams/Joan Jett Weezer/Modest Mouse/Momma LCD Soundsystem/Idles NOFX/Descendents/Suicide Machines/Bouncing Souls (Punk In Drublic Fest) Julia Jacklin/Black Belt Eagle Scout Braid/Signals Midwest American Football Max Stern Ben Nichols/Tim Barry Fake Names The Gaslight Anthem Head Automatica Ratboys Chris Farren Rozwell Kid/This Moment In Black History + a bunch more bands (WCSB Halloween Ball) Into It. Over It. Lucero Best sets out of that batch were Weezer, Braid, Max Stern and Descendents, but honestly, none of the shows were bad (with the exception of Gaslight, there was just a realllllly weird vibe during their set both onstage and in the crowd).
  12. Amy Winehouse - Back To Black https://dvsccvhgxe6e2.cloudfront.net/p/UMGStore/755/Amy-Winehouse_Back-To-Black.zip?Expires=1700532016&Signature=SDzAoZP3nLnAmbmRAl0tGpQXf7yq3NUuHBRUEqnRiJrDDptvwRnwTg7VBJ-A-iEQwDw4FUk4GlQGnSrjSARUlmuBF9OZiFXqpdMv7sIDrwW~BcCOpNO~NAb5wCCKhFv~NkZ-t5oOv3hfu5g1c1JdDvrmiDKTmCbq4r31vCa--WLN9erV2rU4SzjWgxWQKncMdoUNJ9mvB2H8zNz4ezwkcEqJTZMtEqHzzNfzexjp7iNUc3rNRSKnC6HuDZ8mHbLZcx-lmnnZ1Ysygtf2K-ZV-0H-PH3vcWAfnJD0jBCDrXuNqjwafst0cLUUxMrTa~LRyxPQGPg5~XtX2tNqdmBm5w__&Key-Pair-Id=APKAJGOD3TFPJNLTAP6Q
  13. The more you add, the cheaper shipping gets. I got four Tom Petty LPs and the Amy Winehouse picture disc for $50 out the door.
  14. Oh hell yeah! This is my favorite Chuck release. These stripped-down versions are essential.
  15. My favorite records of the year thus far, in no specific order (this is stuff I actually physically bought on vinyl): Ben Folds - What Matters Most Paramore - This Is Why The Hives - The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons Ratboys - The Window Baroness - Stone Gaslight Anthem - History Books Jeff Rosenstock - HELLMODE Foo Fighters - But Here We Are Superviolet - Infinite Spring Lies - S/T Chris Farren - Doom Singer White Reaper - Asking For A Ride I liked these albums too, but have only listened digitally: Vacationer - Cherish boygenius - the record Paint It Black - Famine Crime In Stereo - House & Trance Fiddlehead - Death Is Nothing To Us Rancid - Tomorrow Never Comes The Dirty Nil - Free Rein To Passions AJJ - Disposable Everything
  16. I picked up the red/yellow split of Guilt Show from Newbury's sale the other week, and this thing sounds fuckin' terrible. I can't remember if the OG press sounded this brickwalled/clipped, as I sold it many years ago, but this one will likely never hit the turntable again.
  17. Because they're hoping you forget to unsubscribe, just like a gym membership. source: I have a stack of Jack White live records I will never listen to and no one wants to buy on Discogs
  18. Bump — no one ever posted about this getting a 20th anniversary reissue: https://lucero.merchtable.com/music/vinyl/that-much-further-west-20th-anniversary-edition-vinyl-lp Got my copy in today and it sounds fuckin' killer. I sold my Sabot pressing in a moment of weakness a few years back, so I'm thrilled to have it back in my collection. Funny to think that Sabot did a deluxe 2xLP for $15 in 2011, and this single LP reissue ran me $37 after shipping. #thehobby
