  1. Yeah. I mean, Hogan could do that face off any day, the Rock too. But I bet they both got goosebumps. If anyone was going to take out the NWO, it would be the Rock. It was a tired attempt but I'm glad they did it and ditched it early. NWO ruled in WCW in the mid to late 90s though.
  2. I hear you. I guess I'm not a fan of bounce, really. I like some old stuff. Oh, you know, even though it's meant as a joke, Ballzack and Odom's stuff is really funny.
  3. Konk which one are you going to? No more Hot Topics in NOLA have vinylz.
  4. What's up dude? I live in the city too. I cannot stand this kind of bounce though.
  5. This thread has potential. Also, if they are vinyl, shouldn't it be vinylplayer?
  6. Here's something I always tell Zao fans but nobody cares: ζάω is the Greek word, transliterated zao in English, that the band gets their name from. The band always says it's translated "alive" but that's not accurate. Alive is an adjective, describing the state of being. Zao, in Greek, means "I live," it's a first person singular indicative verb. It can sometimes also mean "to live" depending on the case ending. Again, they are actions, not descriptions. Thanks for letting me nerd out on our thread about a metal band.
  7. Absolutely. Sonically, the album has great production and it's tight metalcore. It's a little different from everything else but it's still signature Zao. The theme is cohesive, smart, and creative. Russ Cogdell plays on it and he's got such a cool style. The Fear Is What Keeps Us Here, on the other hand, sounds just blah. I don't like the sound at all, but I know a lot of that was intentional. The analog taping and Dan doing the vocals the way he did were an effort to make it sound muddier, or closer to a live sound. Wiki even mentions that.
  8. C'mon, Funeral of God needs to be pressed. It's their best album, imo.
  9. Yeah, the Rock vs. Hogan match from Wrestlmania 18? Or was 17? But, 2002 was the last year he looked good in the ring. Or, passable. It's novelty.
  10. I think setting this match up for next year will wear thin in the mind's of fans. They need to stop mentioning it and like kingbuzzo said, have the Rock cost/help Cena at crucial moments. Hulk vs. Rock will probably be better a match in hindsight. I can't wait until Cena is a heel. I'll still dislike him.
  11. I'm interested in that early Epitaph but even more especially the Frontier stuff.
  12. Done. My heart panicked a little when it came up. I always miss out on preorders.
  13. I'm on CST, and I've got a meeting for 12PM. I'm sitting at a McDonald's half a mile away so I can just roll over there after I order. Thankful for free Wi-Fi. And Egg McMuffins. McDonald's at 10:38 in the morning is really the lonely hearts club.
  14. I doubt this will sell out. But the black alone, absolutely. It's out of 100. I assume Brent probably won't let anyone order a ton but there's probably 100 people waiting on this. Probably 40-60 on the boards and all the other Zao fiends. I remember when Blood and Fire was supposed to go live, something delayed it. Or maybe I forgot. But I had a night class and it had only been up for a few hours when I checked it at 7 or 8PM and the most limited color (black) was only gone.
  15. You got lucky. Ended auctions on eBay have been going for $30 and are always used. This one is sealed. Hell, for $20, I think it's still a great price. I would buy it all day long for that.
  16. Couldn't avoid getting one. I would buy it when it's repressed anyway.
  17. 12:30 EST right? Which means I'll be sitting some place with WiFi at 11:30 CST so I can order. I got a meeting at noon though. No delays!
  18. ^ Was just going to say that. Sucks, but those coconut dream cookies are my newest favorite snack treat.
  19. This is a mystery. Logic says it's a repress. Amazon has it. I wonder if Sound Stage got an order of back stock from their distributor since there are orders for a new pressing?
  20. Oh, I actually heard the Rock came back so I searched YouTube and watched it. Like I said, I usually turn it on and find myself occupying my time otherwise. Wrestling doesn't have the same appeal any more so that's why Cena, Edge, and Miz seem tired and unimaginative characters. The Miz's story isn't compelling, so I don't care on that end. He's not intimidating. He just runs his mouth (which he is pretty good at) but his skill-set is weak. As shitty of a wrestler Cena is, you see Cena's determination. He's got charisma. I just don't see that with the Miz. I've been an avid fan for 20 years but watching it for most of my 30 years on this earth (the last 10 years have been off and on). A lot of the guys talk about how bad Cena was, he would stink up the arena. But the guy worked. Now they're in a good place to allow for a heel-turn in the next couple of years and sustain his career for a long time. That's at least something I can pay attention to. Miz doesn't compel me to feel anyway, which is him not getting over. And that is the most important thing in drawing fans: to make you feel something when you see the person.
  21. I contemplated getting the PPV but wasn't it like $55? The card didn't look that good and part of the fun of a PPV is following the story lines up to the PPV and I just can't stomach WWE anymore. I turn it on Mondays and walk away from the TV. A few things: There's a PPV here in the Fall which already has ring-side seating sold out. I think it's Hell in a Cell. I'll probably start watching two months before just so I can know what's going on. Live shows, especially PPVs, are quite fun. WWE is making that turn again to being kid friendly. This is obvious with Cena being the big face, therefore he cannot be a thug but a patriot, dropping the name 'FU' for his finisher, etc. WWE is doing nothing but kid movies. It's been happening for a few years. The demographic is switching. If you notice, the weekly shows have TVPG as the rating when it was TV13 for many years. Also, I'm annoyed that someone can be on TV for 3 years and be a world champion. Like The Miz. Worst gimmick ever. Okay not ever. But bad, though. Plus, title changes are nuts. Cena and Edge are like 9 or 10 times champions. It took Ric Flair 30 years to be a 16 times world champ. I think HHH is the next closest and I don't think he would venture that many more belts just so he won't surpass Flair because of their real life friendship. I've realized I've said too much.
