I assume that you're a fan of the Germs.  Darby was known to extol the virtues of fascism.  The armbands were clearly Nazi inspired.  The original cover of the "Lexicon Devil" literally had Hitler on it.  It seems a bit over the line that you draw at fascists, yet you're into it enough to name yourself after them.  It's ironic.

The Rhino press is garbage.  Earache's twitter showed the master, so hopefully the vinyl will be cut from that and not whatever horrible source Rhino used.

Dealing with licensing from Deep Elm is supposedly less pleasant thank smashing your balls in a screen door.  

So, I'm the only one on here who thinks the new song is pretty much a yawn?  It sounds like a boring Rival Schools song that doesn't go anywhere.  It feels so excrementable. 

I got mine today.  I'm not normally one to complain, but Bullmoose did a shitty job of packaging mine.  It was just floating around a box that was too big for it and the one corner got dinged.

I owned a record store for 10 years.  We used to order direct from No Idea all the time.  I always got  a kick out of getting a handwritten invoice in the No Idea "font", AKA Var's handwriting.  I would also marvel at the fact that Var sold his records and CD's for retail what other labels sold them for wholesale.  When we finally moved on, it's unimaginably painful.  Like the death of a spouse.  Sometimes , I would regret ever doing it, since the only thing to show for the decade of work was debt and emotional pain.
 
I still have dreams, 10 years later, about working at the store.  I always wake up bummed.  

I picked up the box set, mainly for the "Superstar Car Wash", but at some point over time, my copy of "Jed" went missing as well.  I compared the reissues of the first LP and "Hold Me Up" to the originals (my copy of HMU was the UK pressing) and the new pressings sound great.  Almost no difference in sonic quality.  

180g vinyl doesn't make enough, if any, difference to the sound to care.  It's a marketing ploy.  

I have 180g vinyl that sounds bad and I have flexi discs that sound great.  I also have some 180g that have a bowl to them, but my turntable has a built in clamp, so I'm not overly concerned with that.  Michael Fremer once wondered if whatever sonic differences that might be attributed to slight change in VTA, and I think that's right.

I think that "Tiny Cities" was the pinnacle of his career, even though it was just Modest Mouse covers.  It was brilliant.

I recently bought a Rogue Cronus Magnum II after seemingly ill considered foray into solid state.  I'm not 100% sold on the Cronus.  
 

This guy (or gal) "reviewed" three record destroying garbage turntables.  I feel bad for people who are really looking for answers on picking a turntable and stumble upon some bullshit site like this.  They're going to be misled into wasting their money, time, and efforts only to give up on the hobby all together.

I think you're right.  Those turntables won't be a huge upgrade from what you currently have.  Depending on your system, you're probably better off putting the money into an phono preamp upgrade.
