Smallville was one of my couple favorite shows ever. I liked that they didn't just plow through the batman origin story. Keeping it short and breaking it up with the timeline jumps was well done.

Find it funny that "no complications" almost always gets really complicated unless you are talking about one night stands. We aren't built to hang with someone a lot, have sex with them, share our whats going on in our lives, and not have some chemistry kick off in our brains that makes things complicated. It seems a lot less complicated to just date normally.

It's not like we are feeling out the tastes of a unified, homogeneous fan base -- it's old school punks vs. teens wearing eyeliner (I think).

Hasn't someone seen an advanced showing at this point and reviewed? I don't really want to know anything more than "it rocked" or "it was a letdown" but I would kinda like to know whether to temper expectations or not.

I also never really played halo, call of duty, etc. so beyond just destiny being a cool game there's another overall coolness factor for me. Now I kinda see how people can spend Saturday night yelling at 12 year olds to carry their weight.

I feel like it's coming to an end. I'll get my character up to around 315, do the raids a few times, and then occasionally fire up the crucible before moving to something else. Right now, still not really pulling my weight in raids and I want to be able to beat them all from start to finish.

Picked up black spindle today. The right raid was up on the daily heroic. What other side quests should I be doing that aren't blatantly obvious? Have already have sleeper sim and am working on exotic sword.

I think you will see Radio pull some upsets unless I'm way out of touch with the overall fanbase. It was a huge fan favorite for a long time and a frequent closer at their shows. But yeah, we'll see. If a favorite won every match it would be boring.

Thought the same thing. Then again, I wonder if I'm some out-of touch old man and This Addiction (or anything similar) is going to take out all the old fan favorites. Blue in the Face as a #12 is another that I found to be a bit high.

No one's perfect and disagreements happen, but she's fallen a bit on the side of it happening too frequently. Today has been pretty quiet. Supposed to talk later. It's partially my fault for not speaking up sooner instead of letting it get to this point. Basically, she's just got to understand where I'm coming from, make an effort to change, and I'm in to try and work it out. Put a year into this, it's worth trying to fix. If it ends up being a continuous fight, it'll end.

I'm open to consider other opinions and that maybe my opinions are based more on perception than fact but I'd need to see some type of evidence to support it. Clearly, the example you bring up is a problem (doctors and scientists driving cabs because their education is not recognized). I'm sure this has happened to some people who cross the border illegally from Mexico. There are so many people that have done it that it must have. I still think these are significant outliers to the population as a whole. The majority of those who cross the border illegally end up doing lawn service, janitorial work, cooking fast food, etc and don't have anything we would consider higher education. Maybe there's a higher portion of them that have mechanic or manufacturing skills. It's widely considered that the departure of manufacturing jobs started in the 70s/80s was a serious factor in causing the current state of poverty and despair in our inner cities and poor. People that couldn't find decent paying jobs either ended up 1) using drugs to cope with their troubles or 2) selling drugs because it was the only way they could make a living, which combined with white flight led to the collapse of those communities. Getting those jobs back and restoring the ability of the poor to reach the middle class is going to be a long, uphill battle if it is even possible. In the short term, the best alternatives for many of our lower class is going to be what we consider unskilled labor as listed above. Having illegal immigrants come into the country and work under the table undercuts the opportunities of American citizens to make a living and improve their quality of life through positions. And this is in no way meant to be taken as Trump support. His comments about Mexico paying for a wall and illegal Mexican immigrants being murders are disgusting and offensive. I wouldn't even consider voting for him. Just generally discussing the topic.
