PO Now - Taylor Swift - 1989 (Taylor’s Version)
lexicondevil replied to zacooper's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'm not really sure what you'd like explained to you. She is a very popular artist who is also pretty brilliant with her marketing. You either like her music or you don't. In the past, I really did not enjoy her music. Folklore changed that for me, and it made me look at her earlier work in a different way. They way she is handling the rollout of her releases is increasingly annoying me, but now I just hold back and don't buy anything immediately. There will surely be more variants and probably a signed version for every vinyl release. -
Extreme Metal Releases and Pre-orders

I'm just gonna say that the end is near. I don't know if it's the labels, bands, or pressing plants, but they are going to effectively kill record buying once again. I don't know this band and I don't wanna know them, because those prices just push it too far. I'm not judging anyone who buys this, BTW. We all have our "needs", but in the past I would have at the very least listened to them to see if I wanted to buy the record, and there would have been a good chance I would have purchased it. Now, I'm just buying less and less. Spotify has become my friend.😬- 3,552 replies

I dig both colors. Wonder what the pressing numbers are? -
I HIGHLY recommend the F!RES record if any of you haven't already listened. Shawn Smith plays keys and does backing vocals. https://firesofficial.bandcamp.com/album/high-tide-4 The red with black blob version is limited to 250 and you can buy it from the band. https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/24362897?ev=rb

I have to admit that the production/mix on the two released tracks seem a bit off to me. The guitars seem buried in the mix during the chorus in "History Books", which makes it lacking in that usual chorus punch we hear in TGA songs. Maybe I'm just nitpicking. So great that Bruce is on the track. Must have been a dream for the band.

Apologies and New Records
lexicondevil replied to randdmart's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Do you see anyone else here starting a new thread to announce records they just bought? No. That's because it's fucking annoying. Read the goddamn room. Instead of starting yet another thread in a forum that you are new to, why not try to contribute to conversations/threads already started? I have also been holding off commenting on your threads in hopes that you would grab a clue. If this new thread is any indication, it seems that you are not very aware of the world around you. -
PO Now: Drab Majesty - An Object In Motion EP
lexicondevil replied to JohnMatrix's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
That first song has an early Lush vibe. -
This was not unexpected, but they damn well better find a classic metal or rock band that hasn't been touring lately. Will be pissed if it's another Tool type band.
